“This Is Our Best Yet!” – Beloved Gravure Sisters Make a Comeback
Erika and Marina Momose, the invincible sisters, are unstoppable! The sisters are back with a bang, showing off their new skills, new challenges, and even their ideal male image!

Best Yet! Feeling from the Shoot
— Since returning to gravure in December ’24, this is their second time appearing on the cover of FRIDAY. How did this shoot go?
Erika: “Every outfit was really cute, and the moment we arrived on set, I was instantly excited. Normally, when the director says, ‘Okay, we’re done!’ I would immediately go back to the dressing room to change into the next outfit. But this time, even after receiving approval, we suggested, ‘Can we shoot that scene one more time?’—we were really feeling it. The staff would also say things like, ‘This pose might work better,’ and offer ideas with us. It felt really nice that everyone was moving in the same direction together.”
Marina: “The atmosphere on set was great, and the weather was perfect the whole time. It felt like everything was on our side. And the meals after shooting were super delicious (laughs). On the first night we had yakiniku, and on the second day at lunchtime, we had seafood by the beach in Odawara. It completely washed away our fatigue!”
— Do you have a favorite outfit?
Erika: “The black lingerie. It’s very elegant, and I think it came out like a lingerie advertisement, beyond just a gravure shoot. I feel like we were able to bring out a more mature look than ever before. How about you, Mari?”
Marina: “My favorite is the floral lingerie that combines navy and white. The outfit is Western-style, but the location was a Japanese-style room. I’ve always wanted to shoot in a Japanese room, so it felt like a goal had been accomplished.”
— Which shot do you recommend the most?
Marina: “I love them all, but this time it’s the backside. Both of us really look beautiful in it. I think Erika’s backside is the best it’s ever been.”
Erika: “Exactly! I also love the backside. Both of our best hips will appear side by side in the same issue of the gravure!”
“Recently, we produced our own lingerie!”
— Recently, you’ve been producing lingerie as well, right?
Erika: “Yes, that’s right. During the period when I was taking a break from gravure, I had time to think about how to show off my chest, and I thought, ‘Someday, I’d like to make my own lingerie.’ Then a lingerie brand approached me and offered, ‘Would you like to produce one?’”
— What were your points of focus?
Marina: “Erika’s is sexy, and mine is cute. The worlds are different, but I wanted both sets of lingerie to complement each other when displayed side by side. We discussed the designs and colors with the brand many times.”
Erika: “It took about eight months to complete. We’ve received messages from men saying, ‘I gave it to my wife as a present,’ and from female fans saying, ‘I bought it!’ That makes us really happy. My lingerie is green, and Marina’s is mint green. Since it’s Christmas colors, it’s recommended for this time of year!”
— Speaking of Christmas, it’s the season for couples. What is your ideal type of man?
Marina: “I love talking about these topics (laughs). I’m not very talkative, so I like a man who talks a lot. Also, I’m attracted to someone who eats a lot. I love eating.”
Erika: “Looks aren’t important. A man’s character matters. I want someone caring, kind, and reassuring. I like older men with lots of experience.”
— What do you do on your days off?
Erika: “I play games all year round. Recently, I’ve been hooked on building my own island in Nintendo Switch’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Whenever I have a little time, I’m clicking away on my Switch even while traveling.”
Marina: “The other day, when we went to the hair salon together, she was playing it the whole time next to me (laughs). I do TikTok Live during my off time. I stream cooking and karaoke sessions.”
Private Life: Close Sisters
— You two, as close sisters, also spent Halloween together, right?
Erika: “Around 7 p.m., Marina called me and asked, ‘Can I come over?’ A little later, when I opened the door, Marina and her friends, dressed as an angel and a devil, came in shouting, ‘Trick or treat!’”
Marina: “Erika closed the front door without saying anything (laughs). But after that, she made us a dessert like a fruit punch using Southeast Asian ingredients called sago. It was really delicious!”
— The year is almost over. What are your goals for next year?
Erika: “I want to release a photo book that expresses us as we really are. I’ve already started dieting for that, and I’ve lost 2 kg!”
Marina: “I’ve gained weight (laughs). Besides the photo book, I’d like to travel with my family of four to my mother’s hometown in Romania. When I was a student, we used to travel somewhere every year, but it’s been about seven years since we last went. I really want to go again.”

While conversing during the shoot, the two create their poses together. The sisterly cuts unique to them are also part of their charm.
Erika
The older sister of the Erimari sisters. In addition to gravure work, she is active as an influencer, mainly on TikTok.
Momose Marina
The younger sister of the Erimari sisters. Her total SNS followers exceed 1 million, gaining popularity across a wide audience.
Recent Personal Favorite: “RELAXING TIME”
Time with her dog / Napping
Erika: “It’s the time I spend playing with my dog at the park. The sunset at the nearby park is beautiful, and watching it together is very soothing. I also love walking my dog!”
Marina: “For me, it’s napping. I used to have a lazy image of people who nap, but recently I realized that taking a nap actually helps me work more efficiently (laughs). If I have free time, I try to nap for about two hours.”
