Shizuka Kudo Silently Supports Daughter Kōki at Omotesando Event
Shizuka Kudo was also present, deeply engaged in preparations
Under the sunny, late-autumn sky, it was model and actor Koki (22) who unabashedly showcased her snow-white skin.
On December 5, two days before the launch of Korea’s first skincare brand d’Alba pop-up, “City of Glow by d’Alba,” a press day was held in Omotesando, Tokyo. Koki had been appointed the brand ambassador for d’Alba in October.
“An outdoor stage was set up at OMOTESANDO CROSSING PARK, right at the intersection, and while many staff and photographers were preparing, a large number of passersby kept asking the staff, ‘Who’s coming?’
When she appeared in a pure white dress, young women screamed in excitement. When a woman waved, Koki waved back. People exclaimed things like ‘Amazing style! So thin!’ and ‘Skin so white! Like snow!’” (Photographer covering the event)
Just before that, Koki gave an interview inside the shop. When asked, “What about Christmas this year?” she said:
“I want to spend it warmly with my family. I’d like to make a Christmas dinner together, and since I haven’t bought presents yet, I’ll go shopping for them—just spending warm, happy time together.”
When asked about her Christmas memories, she shared a heartwarming story with her father, Takuya Kimura (53):
“When I was little, I believed in Santa Claus. My father would dress as Santa after I went to bed. One night, there was a knocking on the window—knock, knock, knock—and instead of being happy, I actually screamed!”
Later, as mentioned, she appeared on the outdoor stage for a photo session.
“Until just before that, her mother, Shizuka Kudo (55), was at the side of the stage, carefully going over the schedule. Among the many staff dressed in black, there was one woman with long straight hair with mesh, wearing a mask, with an incredible figure—I realized it was Kudo. She was seriously checking the sequence of events.” (Onlooker)
It’s natural that Shizuka, who manages Koki, would accompany her to the event, but many passersby were surprised to see the mother-daughter appearance.
This year, Koki wants to spend Christmas with her family—but it would certainly be a sight to see Kimura dressed as Santa at least once.
