Acting and daily life

At dusk in mid-November, a luxury sports car was speeding down the orange-colored main street, its engine making a high-pitched roar. At the wheel was former “SMAP” member Tsuyoshi Kusanagi (51), who is now better known as an actor.

Kusanagi parked his car in a parking lot and headed for a large commercial facility. As you can see, he returned to his car with his hands full of loot.

Kusanagi is currently starring in the TV drama “Rondo in the Last Act” (Fuji TV), in which he plays the role of an estate agent. After this, there are two more popular series starring him coming up: the “Boku Series,” which deals with social issues, and the “War Series,” a revenge drama in which he is willing to play the villain. Kusanagi’s strength is that he can play any role. Behind this is his unfavorable period after becoming independent. While he was unable to appear on terrestrial television, he received offers that would not have come his way during his “SMAP” days, such as a transgender role in the movie “Midnight Swan,” and he was able to produce results. Even he looks back on it as ‘a turning point'” (film writer).

After shopping, Kusanagi, who had reached the age of maturity, drove off to the “2 billion yen mansion” where he lives with his beloved wife of five years and their dog.
