<p> The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department was shaken by this incident.</p>
<p> On November 12, Daisuke Jimbo, 43, an assistant police inspector in the Anti-Gang Division of the Metropolitan Police Department, was arrested on suspicion of violating the Local Public Service Law for leaking investigative information to the illegal scout group Natural, which is considered the largest and most powerful (and deadliest) in Japan. While the police authorities were in the midst of a nationwide crackdown on what they positioned as a Tokuryu (anonymous and fluid criminal group), it became clear that the person at the center of the investigation had been taken in by the other party in reverse.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> The suspect was arrested for sending images to the other side of the investigation cameras that had been installed for surveillance purposes at &#8220;Natural&#8221; related parties. There is a strong possibility that he was also passing on other investigative information and receiving compensation in return.</span></p>
<p> Natural&#8221; has nearly 2,000 members nationwide, mostly young people in their 20s. The group mediates women to brothels and receives illegal introduction fees called &#8220;scout backs&#8221; from the brothels, and its annual revenue is estimated at 5 billion yen.</p>
<p> The company also exercises strong internal control through violence, and FRIDAY has reported on this situation twice in the past. Whispers of the existence of an inside man have actually been whispered for nearly a year. In late January of this year, an investigative team led by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department&#8217;s Anti-Gang Division moved in to arrest all of the &#8220;Natural&#8221; executives, but when they raided the apartment where he was believed to be hiding early in the morning, he had already fled. An investigator recalls.</p>

<p> Jimbo&#8217;s smartphone contained a special app that only members of &#8220;Natural&#8221; use. It is said to be highly confidential and was developed independently at a cost of tens of millions of yen, using overseas apps as reference.</p>

<p> Jimbo left the &#8220;Natural&#8221; investigation in the spring of this year and has been under voluntary questioning since the summer, and appears to have been under de facto house arrest. However, information about the investigation was still being shared within &#8220;Natural&#8221; after that. Another active member said.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> In September, we heard that a collaborator in the Metropolitan Police Department was going to be exposed. However, information about the investigation is still being leaked. I can&#8217;t go into details, but there is a high police official in a certain prefecture in the Kanto region who has had a long relationship with us, and there are multiple routes to the police in major cities across the country. There are still more people on the inside.&#8221;</span></p>
<p> In the application he showed me, he had written down in great detail information about police searches and other information.</p>
<p> There are still others who are being taken in &#8211; and there are still others who are being taken in. The police authorities are also aware of the critical situation, and internal investigations are underway, including in rural areas. The Metropolitan Police Department has identified the &#8220;Natural&#8221; executive who was exchanging information with Jimbo and is tracking his whereabouts.</p>
