Just-Married Couple Emoto & Satō Enjoy a Blushingly Sweet Outing

Chatting with sweets in hand at a convenience store
Actor Tokio Emoto (36) and actress Honami Sato (36) announced on November 13 that they have gotten married.
On their respective Instagram accounts, they posted a joint message:
“〈We will continue walking together without forgetting our gratitude and our humble beginnings. We kindly ask for your continued guidance and support.〉”
FRIDAY first spotted the two in November 2024. They were seen at a convenience store in a quiet residential area of Shibuya, Tokyo.
Sato wore a black knit hat, while Emoto stylishly sported a camel-colored beret. After chatting for a while with sweets they picked up in hand, the two disappeared side by side into an area lined with luxury condominiums.
“Emoto’s father is actor Akira Emoto (77), and his mother was Kazue Tsugai, who passed away in 2018. His elder brother, Tasuku (38), played Fujiwara no Michinaga in the NHK Taiga drama Hikaru Kimi e. Coming from an acting family, Tokio himself has appeared in numerous popular works, including the drama I Will Not Work Overtime, Period(TBS). He married actress Mari Iriki (35) in 2020 but divorced in 2022.” (Sports newspaper entertainment reporter)
Sato, meanwhile, is active not only as an actress but also as the drummer of the band Gesu no Kiwami Otome, performing under the artist name “Hona Ikoka.”

They clicked through working as models for the same fashion brand
“Originally, Satō worked as a talent, but she became widely known after Gesu no Kiwami Otome broke big. After that, she began to focus seriously on acting, appearing in dramas such as Roppongi Class and this year’s Konban wa, Asayama-ke desu. (both TV Asahi), and Bakebake (NHK), establishing her reputation as an actress. She had previously been married to a band member, but they are already divorced,” said the sports newspaper reporter.
What brought these two talented actors closer was their co-starring in the July 2024 drama Kinshichō Paradise ~Shibuya kara Ippon~ (TV Tokyo).
“They had already modeled together in 2023 for the apparel brand MONSTROUSA, so their fashion tastes seemed to match. A year later, they reunited in this drama produced by Emoto, hit it off immediately, and their relationship quickly developed,” said a TV station insider.
This magazine also spotted the affectionate pair in late April this year.
Both wore round glasses, Emoto with a camel-colored beret. As he gazed at the sign of a shop famous for grilled fish skewers, Satō gently leaned close. In a district known as a hub of street fashion, they radiated a unique aura.
“Even though their relationship had already been reported, they walked together boldly without masks or disguises. They were even holding hands in a lover’s grip, looking so happy that it made us embarrassed,” said a witness.
The two may already have decided on marriage back then. Wishing them a long and happy life together.
