The Japan Mobility Show 2025, held at Tokyo Big Sight from October 30 to November 9, has successfully come to a close.

The event was renamed from the Tokyo Motor Show to the Japan Mobility Show in 2023. It now alternates annually between a public showcase event and a business-focused event. This year marked the second showcase. While 475 organizations and companies participated in 2023, this year saw over 510 exhibitors, drawing large crowds eager to see a wide range of displays.

Among Japanese manufacturers, Toyota drew significant attention. The company unveiled a bright orange coupe model of the Century, described as scarlet, redefining its luxury direction. At a briefing, Chairman Akio Toyoda (69) expressed his determination, saying it was a challenge to create the next 100 years from Japan.

From overseas, Hyundai and Kia of South Korea participated for the first time, showcasing their latest EVs. Chinese automaker BYD unveiled a prototype of a kei-class EV — a category unique to Japan. The model is expected to launch in the summer of 2026, and BYD plans to expand its official dealerships nationwide while providing full warranty and maintenance support. The industry is watching closely to see how much market share BYD’s kei EV might take from Japanese manufacturers.

Adding glamour to this world-class event were the beautiful booth companions. While outfit exposure was toned down compared to past shows, companions still played an important role in conveying each company’s brand image—such as BYD staff wearing blue scarves matching their exhibit. Some companions wore more eye-catching outfits, including body-hugging designs and mini-skirts that accentuated their long legs.

These stunning women helped further elevate the excitement and atmosphere of the venue.
