<p> On a rainy night in late October, a drama was being filmed on location on a sidewalk in Shinjuku 3-chome, Tokyo. Kumiko Aso, 47, was waiting under a large umbrella held by a staff member for the filming to be ready.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> She was filming for &#8220;Bokutachi no Ie&#8221; (Nippon Television). Aso plays the mother of junior high school student Kusunoki Hotaru, played by Shiratori Tamaoki (15). She plays a mysterious mother who embezzles company money for some reason and is on the run.</span></p>

<p> Speaking of Aso, she has appeared in the &#8220;Jiken Keisatsu&#8221; series (TV Asahi), &#8220;Oliver the Dog,&#8221; &#8220;Gosh! series (NHK Sogo), and her talent as a comedienne was highly acclaimed. In &#8220;Omusubi,&#8221; a TV series from the second half of last year, she gave a fine performance as Aiko Yoneda, the mother of the heroine, Yoneda Yui, played by Kanna Hashimoto (26).</p>

After raising her daughter, Aiko uses her talent for drawing to start a blog and become a farmer. <p> On this day, Aso looked nervous from beginning to end, perhaps because she was preparing for her role. When the call came to start, she began walking in the rain with a somewhat melancholy expression on her face.
