The man who threw all the hand towels back at me

There was an incident that I still remember vividly.

It was when I was invited to a party. There were many businessmen and celebrities there. This is not a shady party! It was a very wholesome party where people who were close to each other gathered and deepened their friendship with the friends they brought.

In the world where stars and wealthy people get together, people tend to be somewhat suspicious, but as far as I know, there are very few such parties. I can’t say that there are no such meetings, but there are not as many as reported by the public. Well, that aside, there was a time when I was invited to a party.

When I entered the venue, TAKURO’s friend since his boyhood, TERU, one of Japan’s leading rock vocalists, was singing “HOWEVER” at the karaoke. This was a big hit with all the celebrities in attendance. Of course they were. His beautiful voice and the volume of his voice with such a super high tone would blow you away even if you were listening to him at the Tokyo Dome. It would have been a big deal to hear her at such a close distance. Everyone was entranced by the music.

However, I am always amazed by Mr. Teru’s service spirit, which is different from that of Mr. Takuro, who has a big heart. He is a man with a heart as big as the sea in Hakodate. In addition, he is one of Japan’s top-class superhumans who is beyond natural. …… I would like to tell you about the legend of Mr. TERU again someday.

Yes, it was such an enjoyable party, but – one of the grand masters was quite drunk and suddenly seemed to be in a good mood. When I greeted him, he immediately said, “Sho, sing a song, too.

I had known this person for a long time and had met him several times, but if I could say “I love him” with all my hands,…… well, he was a bit of a difficult type of person. I’m not sure if I can say “I love you” with all my hands or not.

Naturally, we make a living by performing, so it is common for us to be asked to do something in such places, and I think it is perfectly natural for us to say, “If you’re going to pay us for this, we’d appreciate it.

However, I feel that it is a very ungraceful attitude for someone in that position. I was once fed up with a drunken customer who acted just like a ruffian in a drama or a movie.

Is this person the one who judges people by their rank? Is he the type of person who has no respect for those whom he thinks are not worthy of it? So, there were several times in the past when I thought that.

And yet, of course, I sang. It was definitely the right situation to sing, considering the atmosphere, the flow, the scene, and so on. I remember that everyone there sang and danced along with me, and it was a very exciting time.

However, it seemed that the song was not the one he wanted to sing, and to my surprise, he said, “That’s not the song! and threw a hand towel in my face.

Throwing back all the hand towels

I’m not usually the type to get emotional about things like this, but perhaps it was the fact that I had accumulated such resentment from the past. To be honest, my head was completely boiling when the hand towel hit me.

But it was only for a moment. I realized that this was the kind of person I was after all, so I went beyond anger and into nothingness. Of course, that is not to say that I did not have such experiences. I would have understood if I had been attacked by more despicable people. I had a lot of respect for the person’s background and accomplishments, so I was confused.

I felt angry and sad, but I also felt ashamed, thinking, “I must have been a bit arrogant. I had believed that “We’ve been fooling around a lot in our lives, but I’m sure we’ve conveyed the passion and excitement that lies beyond that,” but I realized that wasn’t true.

I vaguely remember that I had reached a state of “emptiness” beyond very complex emotions. I probably had more than 10 hand towels thrown at me during that time.

When I came to my senses, I saw someone throwing all the hand towels back at me.

He said, “Korra! That’s what Japan’s leading businessman does!

And then Mr. Takuro was throwing them back. And he did it in a very humorous tone of voice, taking into consideration the people around him.

During that time, no one else did anything in particular. Maybe it was just that no one really cared. Some people might have simply thought it was a lot of fun, because everyone everywhere was so excited, or conversely, some people might have noticed.

Even if they had noticed, they might not have been able to do anything about it because they were very authoritative. We don’t know that now.

But one thing is certain: TAKURO was the only one who noticed the abnormality and came to follow up. I was really just happy at that time.
