<h2>My style hasn’t changed at all since back then</h2>
<p data-start="0" data-end="176">On October 15, actor Mayu Tsuruta (55) served as a one-day police chief at JR Kamakura Station in Kamakura City, raising awareness about crime prevention and personal safety.</p>
<p data-start="178" data-end="468">Despite the light drizzle that day, Tsuruta handed out educational materials to passersby at the station. Afterwards, she rode a rickshaw from the station and paraded to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine alongside members of the “Kamakura Mononofu Corps,” who were dressed as Kamakura samurai.</p>
<p data-start="470" data-end="840"><strong>“Tsuruta was born and raised in Kamakura and lived there until graduating from university. Since 2010, she has served as the city’s International Tourism Goodwill Ambassador, actively participating in PR activities such as theater performances with creative teams based in Kamakura. She currently splits her time between Tokyo and Kamakura,”</strong> said a TV magazine writer.</p>
<p data-start="842" data-end="1014">Although it was a rainy weekday, many local residents and tourists lined the parade route. When Tsuruta passed by, she received cheers and applause. One tourist remarked:</p>
<p data-start="1016" data-end="1127"><strong>“Wow! She looks so young! Her style hasn’t changed at all since back then, and she’s unbelievably beautiful.”</strong></p>
<p data-start="1129" data-end="1405">As an actress, Tsuruta recently portrayed a woman who abandons her child and divorces in the April drama From the Day I Took You Away (Kansai TV / Fuji TV), and a woman who loses her husband and daughter in a murder case in the July drama Noh-Mask Prosecutor (TV Tokyo).</p>
<p data-start="1407" data-end="1560">Once known for playing refined young lady roles, Tsuruta now shines as a versatile supporting actress. After the parade, she told a local TV station:</p>
<p data-start="1562" data-end="1763"><strong>“Fraud prevention and safety are reassuring with the police, but the mindset of the citizens can change the city as well. I hope we can work together with the police to make Kamakura a better place.”</strong></p>
<p data-start="1765" data-end="1842" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">She is expected to continue promoting her hometown of Kamakura in the future.</p>
