<h2>A watch is like a good-luck charm</h2>
<p data-start="0" data-end="216">On October 6, at an event venue in Aoyama, Shibuya, Swiss luxury watch brand Longines held the launch event for its new collection, the Longines PrimaLuna, with Tsubasa Honda (33) in attendance.</p>
<p data-start="218" data-end="627">Honda appeared in a chic dress featuring a striking shade of blue, exuding sophistication at first glance — but when she turned to face the audience, the boldly open neckline came as a delightful surprise. As she flashed her signature radiant smile, camera flashes went off in unison. When the host introduced her as a beauty like moonlight descending from the sky, she responded with a shy smile.</p>
<p data-start="218" data-end="627"><strong>“Honda launched her YouTube channel Honda no Baiku in September 2018, streaming live game commentaries. The channel gained over 1 million subscribers in just one month, and as of October 10, she still has 1.92 million subscribers. However, she hasn’t updated it for about three years — it’s practically dormant,”</strong></p>
<p data-start="631" data-end="991">explained a TV magazine writer.</p>
<p data-start="993" data-end="1127">When she appeared as a guest on Ano’s All Night Nippon 0 (Nippon Broadcasting) on August 29, 2023, Honda hinted at the reason:</p>
<p data-start="993" data-end="1127"><strong>“It’s been such a long break. My environment changed, and it feels like I’d have to log in all over again.”</strong></p>
<p data-start="1242" data-end="1308">It seemed there were hurdles to restarting her YouTube activity.</p>
<p data-start="1242" data-end="1308"><strong>“This July, she starred in the drama Kita-kun ga Kawaisugite Te ni Amaru no de, San-nin de Shea Suru Koto ni Shimashita, which received a positive response. She’s also extremely busy as a model — in March last year, she launched her own beauty brand, By ttt., which she fully produced from product planning to marketing.</strong></p>
<p data-start="1646" data-end="2035"><strong>In June, she became a Friend of the House for fashion brand Ami Paris and made her first appearance at their Spring/Summer collection show in Paris. With her growing popularity, more brands are likely to appoint her as an ambassador. Given her packed schedule as both an actor and model, it may still take some time before she returns to YouTube,”</strong><br data-start="1997" data-end="2000">said a fashion magazine editor.</p>
<p data-start="2037" data-end="2211">At the event, Honda showcased the Longines PrimaLuna, featuring 48 blue sapphires on the bezel and priced at about 1 million yen. Admiring its beauty, she said:</p>
<p data-start="2037" data-end="2211"><strong>“The brilliance just doesn’t stop. It’s absolutely stunning.”</strong></p>
<p data-start="2280" data-end="2365">When asked about her approach to choosing watches, she replied with a bright smile:</p>
<p data-start="2280" data-end="2365"><strong>“I take my time choosing a watch. It’s something you wear all the time, something people notice when you talk to them — it leaves an impression. To me, a watch is really like a good-luck charm. A watch that empowers you is truly wonderful.”</strong></p>
