Rookie Announcer Rin Urabayashi Charms TV Asahi Summer Fest Crowd with Energetic Seven Faces Performance
She showed a variety of expressions under the scorching sun
TV Asahi’s annual summer event “TV Asahi Roppongi Hills SUMMER FES” came to a close on August 17.
During the event period, various shows such as comedy acts and live music performances were held at TV Asahi and the adjacent Mohri Garden, with many comedians and artists making appearances. Hosting these events were TV Asahi’s female announcers.
On the opening day, July 19, this site reported on announcer Ayaka Hironaka (34), who was seen hosting an introduction program in the blazing heat of 33 degrees Celsius, wearing the event’s official T-shirt. (Published July 28)
It wasn’t just announcer Hironaka who showed a smile full of energy that blew away the summer heat. Rookie announcer Rin Urabayashi, who joined the company this year (age undisclosed), also threw herself wholeheartedly into the event under the blazing sun.
On July 29, Urabayashi appeared on the morning information program Yoko Oshita Wide! Scramble during a live segment of the event. There was a corner introducing beer from sponsor “Suntory,” and before the broadcast, she diligently practiced several times the scene of popping her face out from behind a beer display.
“Urabayashi graduated from Waseda University’s School of Human Sciences, where she served as captain of the Wander Vogel Club. She is known for her boundless stamina, with extremely outdoor hobbies such as mountaineering, alpine skiing, and cycling—even working part-time at a climbing gym. Since July, she has been in charge of the flash news corner on Wide! Scramble (Thursdays and Fridays), and more is expected from her in the future,” said a staff member of the information program.
True to those words, Urabayashi was bursting with energy that day. Even after the broadcast ended, she remained at the booth, cheerfully chatting with visitors. She greeted people loudly, made funny faces to make them laugh, and demonstrated astonishing stamina and a strong spirit of service.
With this bottomless brightness, she will surely continue to bring smiles to viewers in the future.
