Actress Shuri (34), the daughter of actor Yutaka Mizutani (73) and Ran Ito (70), has remained silent alongside RYOKI (Ryoki Miyama, 26), a member of BE:FIRST.
Reports of the two dating and getting married emerged in early May. Miyama had even met Shuri’s father, Mizutani.
However, at the same time, a controversy surfaced involving Miyama and his former girlfriend, YouTuber “R-chan.” R-chan claimed that during their relationship, she had provided Miyama with over 100 million yen in financial support, only to be abruptly cut off.
R-chan took to social media to expose Miyama’s ingratitude. Miyama admitted his wrongdoing and apologized, but online he was given the nickname the 100-million-yen boy.
Later, Miyama announced his departure from Flash Up etoile, the agency that had been managing his acting career. As a member of the seven-member dance and vocal group BE:FIRST, he also suspended his activities following the end of their world tour on July 5.
“Originally, the marriage announcement with Shuri was planned for May. But the scandal with R-chan caused the plan to be scrapped. They were thinking of trying again around July once things had settled down,” said an entertainment reporter for a sports newspaper.
However, even by mid-July, there’s been no sign of an announcement. Shuri’s Instagram hasn’t been updated since March 24, leading to growing concern among fans.
Miyama has also fallen completely silent since late May. Although the volume has decreased, slander and abuse still continue online. On July 15, BMSG—headed by SKY-HI, the producer of BE:FIRST—released a statement:
“Regarding Legal Action Against Rights-Infringing Posts on Social Media”
The document stated:
“Regarding multiple rights-infringing posts confirmed on social media targeting our affiliated artist—including defamation, insults, libel, spreading of false information, and invasion of privacy, all of which seriously violate human rights—we have taken legal steps, and the court has issued disclosure orders for the identities of the posters in each case.”

A music industry insider adds:
“The document did not name any artists, but it’s obvious it referred to RYOKI. The abuse he’s received has been truly appalling, and in particular, attacks from a specific individual had been ongoing. Behind the scenes, BMSG filed a request to disclose the identity of the sender, and a court has now issued a disclosure order. Hopefully, this will serve as a deterrent.”
When our outlet asked BMSG whether the disclosure order issued by the court pertained to posts about RYOKI, they responded:
“We will refrain from disclosing details about the individuals involved.”
Furthermore, regarding future similar posts:
“We will continue to take the same legal measures against any posts that infringe on rights.”
They stated they will remain firm in responding to malicious slander that crosses the line.
One possible motivation behind these measures may be to prepare the ground for the announcement of Shuri and Miyayama’s marriage. A variety show insider says:
“There were some reports that Shuri’s father, Mizutani-san, disapproved of the marriage, but we’ve heard that the couple getting married is already a done deal. What’s concerning is that the moment it’s announced, another wave of slander might erupt. I believe they announced their firm legal response at this timing to help suppress that as much as possible.”
Shuri is currently believed to be filming the movie version of Kyojo, starring Takuya Kimura. According to those involved, she plays a calm role without any action scenes.
“Shuri is said to be taking a break from her activities as early as this fall. Kyojo is likely to be her final project before that,” says the aforementioned sports newspaper reporter.
