<p data-start="358" data-end="625" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">When you search her name online, you&#8217;re met with nothing but turbulent terms: &#8220;Former &#8216;egg&#8217; model,&#8221; &#8220;AV actress,&#8221; &#8220;Kabukicho homeless,&#8221; &#8220;Four-time divorcée,&#8221; &#8220;Mother of multiple children,&#8221; &#8220;Meth addict.&#8221; So who exactly is Ira Aiuchi? We interviewed her in person.</p>

<h3><strong>“My brain melted from meth.”</strong></h3>
<p><strong>“I’m mainly a YouTuber now, and I still work in the adult industry. I also recently started TikTok, and within just five minutes of going live, I had 100 viewers.”</strong></p>
<p>Ira-san spoke clearly and confidently. She appeared more petite in person than she does in her videos. She’s even shared stories like “I gave birth in a waiting room at a sex shop” and “I checked out of a hotel without any underwear because I couldn’t find them,” so I honestly wondered if she’d even show up for this interview. When I confessed that to her, she gave a wry smile and said:</p>
<p><strong>“The aftereffects of meth melted my brain. I really lost it for a while.”</strong></p>
<p>She was born in Nagoya. After being bullied in junior high, she said, “I stopped going to school altogether.”</p>
<p><strong>“While hanging out in downtown Nagoya, I made a lot of friends. I wanted to be a gyaru, but my mom’s allowance wasn’t enough, so I ended up doing compensated dating. I was really in egg magazine — a photographer approached me at a club, and I got in as a kind of reader model.”</strong></p>
<p>She even joined a biker gang and was featured in the well-known magazine Champ Road. It was during this time that Ira-san first tried meth.</p>
<p><strong>“I started using meth to lose weight. My gyaru best friend told me, ‘This will make you skinny.’ I was just a kid, so I thought, ‘Sounds fun! I want to lose weight!’ and gave it a try without thinking.”</strong></p>
<p>Her weight quickly plummeted. At her thinnest, she weighed just 36 kilograms (about 79 lbs). “I was so happy to be that skinny,” she recalled. She continued using meth into her 20s, until her parents forced her into hospitalization — where she ended up reconnecting with a senior from her biker gang days.</p>

<p data-start="138" data-end="269">It’s terrifying to think she was abducted and confined by someone she didn’t even like—and was even forcibly registered as married.</p>
<p data-start="271" data-end="486"><strong>“Whenever I tried to escape the house, he got violent. He didn’t work and constantly kept watch over me so I couldn’t run. Of course, we had no money. I wasn’t given enough to eat, and I couldn’t even bathe freely.”</strong></p>
<p data-start="488" data-end="742">She tried escaping several times, but when she sought help at a police box, they told her, “We can’t do anything since you’re legally married,” and sent her back to her husband. It was in the middle of this nightmare that she discovered she was pregnant.</p>
<p data-start="744" data-end="1011"><strong>“I didn’t want the child to die, and I didn’t want to die either. But I gave birth without being able to contact anyone. I think the nurses sensed something was wrong, because after the delivery, one of them asked, ‘Is there a scary man involved?’—and she helped me.”</strong></p>
<p data-start="1013" data-end="1155">After being discharged from the hospital, Ira unilaterally annulled the marriage. However, her child was forcibly placed into protective care.</p>
<p data-start="1157" data-end="1378"><strong>“If you abduct someone after a divorce, you’ll be arrested. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I heard my ex-husband died from malnutrition. I wanted to raise the child, but the child welfare office wouldn’t allow it.”</strong></p>
<p data-start="1380" data-end="1572" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">Later on, while hanging out in Kabukicho, she was scouted and ended up appearing in amateur-style adult videos. She joined a talent agency and began pursuing a serious career as an AV actress.</p>

<h2>AV Debut and Methamphetamine Use</h2>
<p><strong>“I was doing shoots for amateur-style AV like Magic Mirror Van as practice before my actual debut. I had dreams of becoming an idol, but I figured maybe I was too old for that already. I got scouted when I was just visiting Kabukicho from Nagoya, and from that day on, I started going back and forth between Nagoya and Kabukicho,”</strong> said Ira.</p>
<p>The conditions set by her agency were: lose weight and get cosmetic surgery by working in the sex industry.</p>
<p><strong>“There was a rule that I couldn’t eat more than 1,300 kcal a day. They even told me to live in the president of the agency’s house. I turned that down, of course.”</strong></p>
<p>Due to her extreme dieting, Ira became dangerously thin. Though she finally secured her long-awaited debut, she admitted to using methamphetamine again.</p>
<p><strong>“I was using dating apps to make money and ended up doing meth with a guy I met there. My brain was already damaged from using it in the past, so it made me completely lose it again.”</strong></p>
<p>Then came the discovery of her second pregnancy, which put a halt to her AV debut.</p>
<p><strong>“I thought I was taking the pill but I wasn’t. The father was a host. I had unprotected sex with three people on the same day, so I think that’s when I got pregnant.”</strong></p>
<p>She had exchanged contact info with the potential fathers, but for some reason the numbers weren’t saved. Even after she put out a call on YouTube, no one reached out.</p>
<p><strong>“At the time, I had a place in Osaka. I went back to get my ID, but I wasn’t allowed in because I hadn’t paid the rent. My belly was already huge, but I went to the sex shop where I used to work and begged the staff, ‘I’ll be fine, please let me work.’ But right then, I went into labor.</strong></p>
<p><strong>They called an ambulance, but it didn’t make it in time. The baby came out the moment they put me on the stretcher. It just dropped out of me. It was an extremely easy birth.”</strong></p>
<p>She ended up giving birth unexpectedly in Osaka, a place where she hadn’t planned to deliver. Right after the birth, she had a dispute with a nurse at the hospital and had to be transferred to another facility.</p>
<p><strong>“I just wanted to borrow a phone, but they refused, and it turned into an argument. They kicked me out. My boyfriend from Tokyo came to get me, and we spent the whole day in the hospital lobby.”</strong></p>
<p>Her second child was also placed into state care right away. Ira said, “Realistically, there was no other option.”</p>
<p><strong>“Of course, I wanted to raise them but with this kind of job, it’s just not easy.”</strong></p>

<h2>Isn&#8217;t it a misunderstanding that you were abandoned?</h2>
<p>Ira-san said that during childbirth, she had entrusted the management of her finances and related matters to a city office worker. Since she was at risk of miscarriage, she couldn’t take any tranquilizers during pregnancy, and she recalls, “I lost control again.”</p>
<p><strong>“I was taken to a psychiatric hospital by the city office worker who was managing things for me. I was forcibly hospitalized and stayed in a closed psychiatric ward for two months. I couldn’t go outside, couldn’t make phone calls all I could do was watch TV and talk with the other patients.”</strong></p>
<p>However, once she was in that quiet environment, the auditory hallucinations and visions that had been tormenting her suddenly stopped. Restarting her medication, which had been paused during pregnancy, also seemed to help.</p>
<p><strong>“It was incredibly painful and lonely. I kept thinking, ‘I want to get out of here!’ But thanks to those two months in the ward, I really got better. I used to constantly hear voices criticizing me, and I couldn’t make clear decisions because of its”</strong></p>
<p>When asked about her future plans, Ira said, “I want to keep working as an influencer, and eventually make a proper debut in adult films.”</p>
<p><strong>“I still get scouted for AV, but once people search for ‘Ira Aiuchi,’ things usually don’t progress. I think it’s because there are still so many videos of me from when I wasn’t well due to the aftereffects of the drugs. But I’m not giving up. I hope I can debut someday.”</strong></p>
<p>More than anything, she expressed a heartfelt wish: “I want to see my children.”</p>
<p><strong>“I can’t talk about the details, but although I’ve been trying to express that I want to see them, I haven’t been able to. I’ve written letters I wonder if they’re being read. Ideally, I want to take them back and raise them. I’m worried they might misunderstand and think they were abandoned.”</strong></p>
