Brad Pitt’s Japan visit: A spectacle that sent people into a frenzy.
A man’s sex appeal that will make you swoon!
It was truly a “mad rhapsody” of sorts.
On June 24, Brad Pitt (61) made a sudden announcement that he would visit Japan to promote “F1 (R) F1,” a movie in which he stars. On the following day, June 25 and 26, three screenings with a stage greeting were held at theaters in Tokyo, and the tickets were sold out in one minute.
Pitt himself was named as the producer of the film, and he assembled a team including Joseph Kosinski, director of the ’22 film “Top Gun Maverick,” which became a worldwide blockbuster. In addition, current F1 racer Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari, 40) joined the team as a producer. The film was shot on an unprecedented scale in the history of cinema, using footage from actual F1 races and real circuit courses.
The film opened simultaneously in the U.S. and Japan on June 27, and grossed over $150 million (about 22 billion yen) in three days at the worldwide box office. In Japan, the film also drew more than 240,000 viewers and grossed over 420 million yen at the box office. Both films have won first place in the foreign film category,” said a film magazine writer.
Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a veteran driver who returns to active duty to support Joshua Pierce (Damson Idris, 33), a young driver on the fictional F1 team APX GP. Pitt is now 61 years old, but on screen he is as youthful and muscular as ever. He exudes an enchanting masculine sex appeal.
Although he was only there for two days, many fans gathered at the places where he stopped by, as they could see him up close. Many people gathered in front of the hotel where he stayed, and some fans even stayed overnight in their cars in the vicinity.
This magazine also witnessed Pitt’s appearance on June 26, when the pickup truck he came in was parked at the exit of the building where the Japan premiere was held, Grand Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro (Toshima-ku, Tokyo). Many fans gathered in the vicinity. To my surprise, most of them were young people who appeared to be in their 20s. I spoke to one of them, a woman,
I follow him everywhere he goes. I would do anything to get even a glimpse of him! I love him that much!
She almost screamed. A few moments later, Pitt appeared, wearing sunglasses and a striped shirt, behind a strong bodyguard. At that moment, there was a bit of chaos with the fans rushing in and security trying to control them. Even so, Pitt smiled lightly, approached the fans, shook hands with them, and signed autographs.
It was truly the dignity of a world-famous Hollywood star.
