Nanao’s Sun-Kissed Look Stuns at Japan–Taiwan Film Premiere
“I want to go to the beach.”
Absolutely gorgeous!
That might be the perfect phrase to sum it all up. On June 20, at a Tokyo theater, the Japan premiere for the film Candlestick—set to be released on July 4—was held, and Nanao (36), sporting a healthy tan, took the stage. Dressed in a jet-black, figure-hugging dress, she showed off her famously statuesque 10-head proportions without reserve, prompting thunderous cheers from the audience.
“A Japan-Taiwan co-production, the film is set on May 7, 2019—the day Japan’s era name changed from Heisei to Reiwa. The protagonist, played by Hiroshi Abe (61), is a former genius hacker named Nohara who devises a daring plan to trick an unbreakable AI and walk away with a fortune. Nanao plays Kyoko, an FX trader and Nohara’s girlfriend, joining him on this high-stakes mission. It’s a fast-paced money suspense drama,” explains a film magazine editor.
On working with Abe for the first time, Nanao shared:
“I was truly honored to act alongside Abe-san, such a seasoned veteran, especially playing his love interest.”
When asked by the host, “What would you ask AI for help with?” she replied:
“I really love traveling, and I almost always want to go to the beach”
At that moment, the host playfully interjected, “It’s obvious you’ve got a tan today too,” prompting laughter. With a smile, Nanao responded:
“Yes, I do. That’s why I’d love for AI to recommend some amazing beaches!”
Nanao also appears in the upcoming film Theatrical Version TOKYO MER: Mobile Emergency Room – South Sea Mission, slated for release on August 1. This summer, it seems Nanao’s radiant, sun-kissed beauty will be on full display everywhere.
