<h2>Through a secret engagement, he received over 100 million yen in allowances, luxury cars, and more</h2>
The marriage trouble surrounding BE:FIRST’s Ryoki, actor Ryoki Miyama (26), has grown increasingly messy.
It began when Shukan Bunshun reported that in 2022, Miyama secretly got engaged to R-chan, an apparel business owner and YouTuber. Over time, he reportedly received more than 100 million yen in allowances, luxury cars, and other gifts from her, before ultimately breaking up.
In response, Miyama denied any legal violations akin to marriage fraud but admitted to treating R-chan poorly and apologized. He also announced his intention to leave both BMSG, the management company for BE:FIRST, and his personal agency Flash Up étoile, to go independent.
At the end of last month, Miyama gave an interview to Bunshun Online, offering a tearful apology for his immaturity, while also subtly implying that he and R-chan had differing perspectives about their breakup.
This infuriated R-chan. In the early hours of June 1, she posted on X:
“There’s no benefit for me to lie. I’ve kept everything hidden and protected him. Even after Bunshun exposed it, I kept quiet. He dodged my lawyer’s messages but then did a Bunshun interview to cover himself — what was my kindness for?”
She continued:
“Can you say the same things you told Bunshun in front of me, my family, and my friends? I’ll decide on legal action based on his future behavior. I still believe in him.”
An entertainment industry insider familiar with the matter commented:
“Miyama’s side intended to resolve the scandal by leaving his agencies and apologizing in the Bunshun interview. But to R-chan, it came off as self-preservation. She’s furious again and is prepared to take legal action depending on how he responds next.”
Meanwhile, rumors of Miyama’s engagement to actress Shuri (34), the daughter of actor Yutaka Mizutani and actress Ran Ito, have been reported by some outlets. The announcement was originally planned for after Golden Week in May, but has now been pushed back to sometime after July because of the scandal. If the mudslinging with R-chan drags on, it may be delayed even further.

<h2>A mother and child so close they’re even described as like identical twins</h2>
The problem isn’t just his issues with women — there are also growing concerns about his relationship with his mother.
As an only child, Miyama has always been very close to his mother, living together in a luxury apartment in Tokyo.
In past interviews, he’s spoken about her saying:
“She always affirms everything about me.”
“She’s always told me to do whatever I love.”
“She taught me how to live as a person.”
It’s clear he places immense trust in her.
However, it’s been revealed that among the 100 million yen R-chan spent on him, there was even payment for his mother’s dental implants. A sports newspaper entertainment reporter pointed out:
“It might seem easy to overlook, but this is an abnormal situation. It’s one thing for Miyama himself to be gifted luxury goods or cars — but to have even his mother’s dental implant fees asked for like that suggests a distorted kind of affection toward his mother. Within the music industry too, Miyama and his mother have long been known as an inseparable parent-child duo.”
In both the entertainment world and even the imperial family, scandals tend to escalate when family members get involved — and this case seems no different.
On June 1, Miyama announced he would miss four stops on BE:FIRST’s world tour due to poor health. He’s scheduled to suspend his group activities after the Singapore show on July 5, but at this rate, even that remains uncertain.
When asked whether Miyama would still appear as planned at the Singapore concert, his management BMSG responded:
“He is currently scheduled to perform.”
Even so, with potential lawsuits on the horizon, the scandal continues to show no signs of settling down.
