Juri Ueno and Sho Wada Seen Strolling a Shopping Street with Their Beloved Dog After Overcoming His Career Hiatus
A change that came to the two of them
On a spring day when the city center was wrapped in weather resembling early summer, a couple was enjoying shopping in a bustling shopping street filled with many shoppers in Tokyo.
They were actress Juri Ueno (39) and musician Sho Wada (49).
“Both of them were only wearing hats, not really disguised, and didn’t seem concerned about being noticed. Mr. Wada carried a pet carrier bag diagonally across his body, and their beloved dog’s head was peeking out from inside,” said a shopper at the shopping street.
The two got married in May 2016 after dating for about a year.
“Ueno debuted in the entertainment industry in 2001 as the third image girl for ‘Clearasil.’ In 2002, she made her first drama appearance in ‘Seizon: Ai suru Musume no Tame ni’ (NHK). She gained major popularity after starring in the 2006 drama ‘Nodame Cantabile’ (Fuji TV),” explained an entertainment reporter from a sports newspaper.
On the other hand, Wada made his major debut in 1997 as the vocalist of the rock band TRICERATOPS. Their single GOING TO THE MOON, released in 1999, was featured in a popular Pocari Sweat commercial, leading to a breakthrough.
“They also had a successful concert at Nippon Budokan that same year. However, in the 2010s, their activity slowed down, and they have been on an indefinite hiatus since January this year. Ueno was originally a fan of TRICERATOPS and frequently attended their live shows. The hiatus was probably a shock to her too,” the same reporter added.
Recently, there has been a change in their married life.
“In February this year, Ueno announced on her Instagram that their family had grown with the addition of a half-Chihuahua, half-Miniature Dachshund dog named Malibu. When they welcomed Malibu, they moved out of their luxury apartment building, where many celebrities live, and relocated to a detached house so they could live freely with their dog,” said an acquaintance of Ueno.
Currently, both husband and wife have been scaling back their work. They are likely spending a relaxed, peaceful time together with their new family.
