Appearing at the venue under the strong sunlight of the Yokohama Bay Area was actress Marika Matsumoto (40), dressed in a black sheer dress.
From May 4th to 6th, the Yokohama Bay Area hosted the &#8220;Yokohama International Film Festival&#8221; (hereafter &#8220;Yokohama International&#8221;), with the second day featuring the international exchange event &#8220;JAPAN NIGHT.&#8221;

It invites luxurious guests from Japan and abroad and is held across six venues centered around the Minato Mirai area of Yokohama. Besides screenings, it features events befitting a film festival such as a red carpet, a boat party, and talk shows. This year, actor Tadanobu Asano (51) served as ambassador, and many reports covered his interactions with guests,” said a film magazine reporter.
On the main stage at Red Brick Park, &#8220;JAPAN NIGHT&#8221; was hosted by actress MEGUMI (43), who appeared in a sharp kimono. Using a fan in her hand while speaking skillfully, she greatly energized the audience. After a while, all eyes suddenly turned to the side of the stage, and a murmur spread through the crowd. Matsumoto had appeared alongside some staff members.
“Matsumoto was not announced as a special guest for that day, so her appearance was a surprise. She wore a black sheer dress, giving a cool impression, but the sunlight was very strong, and she repeatedly shaded her forehead with her hand. That look was also very bewitching. All the audience’s eyes were on her,” said one attendee.
After that, Matsumoto went up on stage and enlivened the audience with her talk show.
“Matsumoto and MEGUMI have co-starred many times in dramas and movies. Especially in the 2022 movie &#8216;The Way of the Househusband: The Cinema,&#8217; they played rival nursery school moms. They are also known to be close friends in private. This time, MEGUMI might have invited Matsumoto,” the same reporter added.
Currently, Matsumoto is appearing in the ongoing drama &#8220;Personnel Hitomi&#8221; (Fuji TV network). The show stars Genta Matsuda (26) from Travis Japan and focuses on the old-fashioned personnel department of a large company as an office entertainment drama. Matsumoto plays Ai Hori, a knowledgeable yet somewhat mysterious competent employee, and is a key character.
