Mei Nagano Faces New Allegations Amid Affair Rumors with Actor Speculations

Actor Meiw Nagano (25) is working hard to put out the fire after reports of an affair with Keii Tanaka (40) and allegations of dating two men simultaneously, including Korean actor Kim Mu-jun (26) during a co-starring project.

On the late-night radio show Nagano Mei’s All Night Nippon X (Nippon Broadcasting) on April 28, she apologized at the beginning of the program:

“I am truly sorry. I deeply regret my careless actions that may have caused misunderstandings. From now on, I will act with more restraint to ensure this never happens again.”

Speaking of misunderstandings, a common example involves hinting posts on social media. For instance, someone who wants to reveal their relationship with a male idol but can’t publicly announce it might subtly include items that resemble or remind the public of that idol, such as matching accessories in their photos.

In the past, Nagano had promised her fans during an Instagram live:

“I swear, I won’t make any strange hints.”

“If I were to hint at something, I’d just announce it.”

However, since the affair rumors broke, the internet detective squads have been thoroughly investigating her past photos. On platforms like X (formerly Twitter), a new topic of controversy has emerged: the hinting suspicion involving actor Ryuta Bando (27). Nagano and Bando co-starred in Unicorn ni Notte in 2022.

In a photo of Mei Nagano taking a selfie with a smartphone in hand, a green phone case with the word “MEI” on it is visible. Ryuta Bando was also seen with a very similar phone case marked “R” while taking a selfie. This case is from a brand with stores only in Korea, which has led to online outrage for what many perceive as too obvious hinting.

Additionally, both Nagano and Bando were seen with black nails in their photos. To make matters more suspicious, Bando reposted an article related to Nagano’s affair on his official X account (now deleted). Fans quickly started speculating, with comments like “Was it a mistake?” and “Notice it quickly!” swirling around. (Sports newspaper reporter)

It was unclear if Bando reposted the article because he had an opinion on the affair news or if it was simply a mistake.

Adding fuel to the fire, a post on X on September 9, 2022, during their drama collaboration, read: “Why are Mei Nagano-chan and Ryuta Bando-kun at a Vaundy concert? Why??”

If they were indeed dating after their collaboration in 2022 and had been subtly hinting at it, it would contradict Nagano’s previous statement during her Instagram live about not engaging in hinting behavior.

While it’s possible that there was nothing more to the hinting or the repost, questions remain. The situation hasn’t had a visible impact on Nagano’s career yet, but will she continue to thrive as a leading actress amidst the controversy? Time will tell.
