<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On a mid-April day, a stunning woman with an aura of confidence was striding through Tokyo Station wearing sunglasses and pulling a large suitcase. She was the model and actress Ai Tominaga (42).</span></p>
<p><b>&#8220;Just the day before, Tominaga had attended a fashion show for Dior&#8217;s 2025 Fall Collection held at the World Heritage site, Toji Temple in Kyoto. Wearing a Dior suit, she posted photos from the night-time shoot at Toji Temple on her social media&#8221; </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">(fashion magazine reporter).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">After finishing the fashion show, Tominaga returned to Tokyo by Shinkansen, where she was spotted by Friday Digital. The large scarf she was wearing was indeed from Christian Dior. While her unique fashion caught attention, it was Tominaga&#8217;s presence that stood out even more.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Standing at 179 cm, her posture and graceful walk immediately conveyed that she was someone extraordinary. Her overwhelming aura made even the suited men she passed by turn around and do a double take.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Currently, Tominaga is appearing in the NHK historical drama Berabou, where she plays the highest authority in the Shogunate&#8217;s inner court, Takao. She holds her own against the shogunate official, played by Ken Watanabe, in the drama. While her appearances are currently few, she exudes a remarkable presence.</span></p>
<p><b>&#8220;Tominaga also appeared in the 2023 NHK drama Ooku, which depicted a world where gender roles were reversed. She played the 8th shogun, Tokugawa Yoshimune, and it became a hot topic. Her portrayal of Yoshimune walking through the inner court in black formal attire was so powerful that viewers were convinced &#8216;perhaps Tokugawa Yoshimune was actually a woman&#8217;. She received widespread praise on social media, with comments like &#8216;Tominaga changed the concept of the Ooku&#8217; and &#8216;She really brought the character to life&#8217;. NHK decided on offering her the role of Takao based on the success of her performance in Ooku&#8221; </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">(television magazine writer).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Now, Tominaga has become a go-to actress for NHK’s Ooku series. While she continues to shine as a supermodel, her performance as Takao in Berabou is certainly worth watching.</span></p>
