TV Asahi’s New Announcer Yume Miyamoto: From Popular ‘Mezamashi TV’ Reporter to Star!

Yume Miyamoto was formerly known as “Seiran Takigawa”!
At the end of March, Keio University held its graduation ceremony. A female student in a hakama smiled for the camera. This was Yume Miyamoto (22), who had just been confirmed as a new announcer at TV Asahi. Fans gathered, requesting photos with her.
One fan shared, “I said, ‘Congratulations on your graduation! Can I take a photo with you?’ and she responded with a bright smile, ‘Of course!’ When I said, ‘Good luck with everything!’ she energetically replied, ‘Yes!'”
It’s rare for a newcomer to have such popularity, and there’s a reason for this.
“She was actually known as Seira Takigawa, a popular student talent during her time at Keio University. Takigawa joined the entertainment agency ‘Saint Force Sprout,’ which is known for having many freelance announcers, in her first year. She started working as a student caster. She appeared in variety programs like gee up sprout and ‘Mezamashi TV’ (Fuji TV), where her calm and pleasant voice gained her many fans.”
Fans of Takigawa were shaken on April 1, when it was reported that actress Kanna Hashimoto (26) appeared at TV Asahi’s entrance ceremony alongside the four new announcers, including Yume Miyamoto. Many fans speculated on social media, wondering if the announcer next to Hashimoto was actually Seira Takigawa.
“Upon checking the Saint Force Sprout website, I noticed that her photo and name were removed from the talent list. It seems she left the agency in March. Her X and Instagram accounts were also made inaccessible. No official reason has been given for this,” a watcher reported.
The internet even saw pages comparing the features of “Seira Takigawa” and Miyamoto, comparing the mole on her nose and cheek, a charm point the announcer had mentioned. After reaching out to TV Asahi regarding the past profile information, the response was, “We refrain from disclosing employee-related information.”
In an interview from April 3, 2022, on the online platform Bigakusei Zukan, Miyamoto mentioned her goals, saying, “I want to be an announcer who brings energy to the morning, even on the dreariest mornings.” We may soon see her smiling face on “Good! Morning” as Yume Miyamoto, formerly known as Seira Takigawa.
