Roco Solare Unveils Curling Daughters and Olympic Dreams at Fan Event
“I always wanted to be an idol.”
The women’s curling powerhouse Roco Solare, which achieved consecutive medal wins in the Winter Olympics, held a fan meeting on the night of April 16 in Koto Ward, Tokyo. The venue was filled with 280 fans, and tickets reportedly sold out in just five minutes.

The popular team “Loco Solare,” boasting idol-level popularity, managed to secure third place at the Japan Curling Championship held in Yokohama BUNTAI this February, and has qualified for the Olympic representative candidate selection match at the end of September this year.
At the fan meeting, members Satsuki Fujisawa (33), Chinami Yoshida (33), Yuko Suzuki (33), and Yurika Yoshida (31), along with the representative director of the general incorporated association “Loco Solare,” Mari Motohashi (38), appeared.
The event included a talk segment, a Q&A corner, and a gift exchange, with the famous phrase “Sodanee” being heard on the ice.
“Before the event started, Matsuura Aya’s songs were playing, which seemed to be Suzuki’s choice. Apparently, she admired idols in her childhood, and her peers were also into groups like ‘Minimoni.’ During the event, they jokes, ‘Next time, let’s do Curling Musume!’ At the end of the event, Fujisawa smiled and said, ‘I’m so happy I got to experience an idol-like feeling today!'” (Reporter covering the event)
During the talk segment, they expressed strong feelings about next season, which is crucial for qualifying for the 2026 Winter Olympics at the Milano-Cortina Games.
“This season, we weren’t able to win the Japanese Championship, but being able to feel the support of so many fans up close made me rediscover the joy of curling. In the selection match in September, I want to prepare thoroughly and have great matches against the two teams, Karuizawa and Fortius.” (Fujisawa)

In the Olympic representative candidate selection match, a fierce three-way battle on the ice will unfold between the February Japan Championship winners, “Fortius,” and the unique team “S C Karuizawa Club,” which was formed just two years ago.
With a medal at the Milano-Cortina Olympics in mind, will the “Curling Musume” be formed?
