<p><span class="strongInContent"> Since Hong Kong was originally a British territory, its judicial system is based on the British one. Therefore, the legal fees are the same as in the UK and two to three times higher than those in Japan. If relatives fly to Hong Kong to find a lawyer, the longer they stay in the country, the more expensive it will be.</span></p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> After arrest, if there is no fear of flight, the accused may be released on bail after paying bail money as in Japan, but if there is no information that the accused has been released on bail at this point, he will probably go straight to trial.</span></p>
