Cocomi Turns Heads in Bold Dress at Dior Event as Guests Realize Her Star Connection
In her private life, she’s an otaku girl
Wearing a striking black dress that accentuated her fair skin, a woman with long black hair made a commanding entrance, trailed by several staff members—this was none other than flutist Cocomi (21).
In late March, at the Tokyo Midtown Plaza in Roppongi, Minato Ward, the opening preview for Parfums Christian Dior’s pop-up event, “Dior Addict Factory,” was held ahead of its official launch on March 27.
“Popular actor Ryo Yoshizawa (31) and Chinese actor Yang Yang (33), who starred in the 2022 U-NEXT exclusive drama Platinum Lovers that gained popularity in Japan, were in attendance. Fans gathered outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of Yang Yang. After he left, Cocomi suddenly appeared with a large entourage of staff, catching everyone off guard.
One fan shouted, ‘It’s Cocomi!’ and the crowd turned their heads in unison, exclaiming, ‘That’s Kimutaku’s (Takuya Kimura, 52) daughter!’ and ‘Is Shizuka here too?’ The atmosphere instantly turned into a buzz of excitement,” said one of Yang Yang’s fans.
On this occasion, Cocomi was not present as a flutist but as a model. With a presence rivaling that of her famous parents, Kimutaku and Shizuka Kudo (54), she walked with poise like a true supermodel.
“Since March 2020, Cocomi has served as the Japan ambassador for Dior. She’s a natural at these types of events. She often wears dresses at her concerts, so her sense of style is spot on.
Privately, she’s well known as an avid otaku. Her Instagram features casual outfits, including photos of her wearing a sukajan jacket—one of her parents’ favorite fashion items,” a fashion magazine journalist shared.
Cocomi is said to be aiming for an international career not just as a flutist but also as a model. It may only be a matter of time before she earns the title of supermodel.
