Mrs. Green Apple Guitarist Hiroto Wakai’s Secret Sleepover Date with I-Cup Gravure Idol!

At the end of last year, the three-member rock band Mrs. GREEN APPLE (commonly known as Mrs.) won the Japan Record Award for the second consecutive year, solidifying their status as one of the most dynamic bands today. However, their private lives have remained shrouded in mystery—until now.

On a Saturday in early March, snow began falling in Tokyo as forecasted, starting in the evening. By 10:30 p.m., the quiet snowfall had turned into rain. At that moment, a taxi pulled up in front of a luxurious high-rise apartment building in the heart of the city, and a woman stepped out. With her sleek, long black hair and elegantly long legs visible beneath her boots, she had the figure of a model. Even in the dimly lit night, her striking silhouette stood out. Moving confidently, she entered the building and did not reappear until the next morning.

The resident of the apartment she visited was Mrs.’s guitarist, Hiroto Wakai (28). Despite his packed schedule, Wakai had carved out time for an overnight date at his home. Who exactly is the woman he has been meeting in secret?

The next morning, just past 10 a.m., a taxi arrived at the entrance of Wakai’s apartment. The woman from the night before emerged from the main entrance, her expression blank as she got into the car and left. A few hours later, around 2 p.m., another taxi pulled up, and Wakai headed off to his workplace.

The beginning was social media

The woman with a striking silhouette even in the darkness is none other than Mirii Ichika (26), a current gravure idol. Known for her “I-cup bust,” she won the Golden Glamour Award at the “Gravure of the Year 2022.”

“Mirii was originally a huge fan of ‘Mrs.’—so much so that she joined their fan club. Last fall, she sent a DM on social media, which led to their first meeting. They hit it off immediately, and she started visiting Wakai’s apartment whenever he was available. They even spent Christmas Eve together, strengthening their bond,” said an industry insider.

‘Mrs.’ has had a packed schedule, and February alone saw them traveling internationally—attending the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, performing their first two-day concert in Korea, and appearing at Gucci’s Fall/Winter collection in Milan. On the night FRIDAY spotted their sleepover date, Mirii had also spent the morning at a photoshoot in Tokyo. Once her work was done, she headed straight to Wakai’s apartment, braving the cold snow and rain.

“They only meet at Wakai’s apartment—never going on public dates. At times, they meet once a week, and even during the busiest periods of live shows and recording sessions, they manage to have home dates about once every two weeks. When they can’t meet, they keep in touch via video calls,” the insider added.

So, what exactly is the nature of their relationship? FRIDAY reached out to Wakai’s management agency with a formal inquiry, but no response was received by the deadline.
