Adrien Brody won the Academy Award for Best Actor for “Revenge Kiss” and “Throwing Gum at Girlfriend”.

This is the second Best Actor award for Adrien Brody since “The Pianist”.
The 97th Academy Awards ceremony was held on March 3 (local time) in Los Angeles, and “ANORA,” a film about the tumultuous romance between a New York strip club dancer and the prodigal son of a Russian billionaire, won Best Picture, Best Director (Sean Baker), Best Actress (Mikey Madison), and Best Screenplay. The film won a total of five awards, including Best Picture, Best Director (Sean Baker), Best Actress (Mikey Madison), Best Screenplay, and Best Editing.
One of the most popular actors at this year’s awards ceremony was Adrien Brody (51), who passionately played an architect in “The Brutalist,” a film about the turbulent life of a Hungarian Jewish architect who survived the Holocaust and came to the United States. It was his second Best Actor award since “The Pianist” (2002).
Brody “first” attracted attention on the red carpet.
When Halle Berry, the first African-American to win an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in “Chocolate” (’01), met Brody on the red carpet, she was accompanied by her boyfriend, fashion designer and actress Georgina Chapman, who was looking on. The actress surprised Brody with a passionate “lip to lip” kiss in front of his girlfriend, fashion designer and actress Georgina Chapman, who was accompanying Brody on the red carpet.
The Daily Mail (electronic edition) reported the surprise kiss,
“It was payback for Brody pulling me in for a dramatic kiss at the ’03 awards ceremony, right after he won an Oscar for ‘The Pianist’,” Halle joked.
Hal jokingly revealed, according to the report. And to Georgina.
‘I’m sorry, Georgina, but I have to do it.’
He said.
The red carpet was a riot of people screaming in shock and cheering, but Brody didn’t seem upset, and to maximize the dramatic effect, he immediately hugged Hal and Georgina applauded them.
In fact, Hal was presenting at the ’03 Academy Awards ceremony when Brody won Best Actor for “The Pianist in the Battlefield” at the age of 29, the youngest actor ever to win the award. It was then that Brody suddenly embraced Hal and kissed him passionately on stage. Halle froze for a moment, but did not reject the kiss.
Twenty-two years after the “happening kiss,” the “revenge kiss” took place. It was a scene that will remain in the history of the Academy Awards.
