Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and Supermodel Behati’s Too Cool Fan Interaction
The world’s sexiest man and his supermodel wife
On a mid-February night, a foreign couple was surrounded by a crowd of waiting fans as they emerged from an exclusive members-only luxury restaurant in Akasaka, Tokyo (Minato Ward).
It was Adam Levine (45) of Maroon 5 and his wife, supermodel Behati Prinsloo (36). The couple had come to Japan for Maroon 5’s three-day concert at Tokyo Dome in early February.
Maroon 5, a massively popular band with over 110 million records sold worldwide, has won three Grammy Awards. Adam, the band’s frontman, is also a music producer and actor. In 2013, he was named “Sexiest Man Alive” by People magazine, earning him the title of the original heartthrob.
“His wife, Behati, hails from Namibia. She was scouted by a London modeling agency at the age of 16 while shopping in Cape Town, South Africa. At 18, she was selected as one of Victoria’s Secret’s top models, known as an ‘Angel,’ solidifying her status as a supermodel,” explains a fashion magazine journalist.
The two first met in 2011 when Adam was looking for models to appear in a music video. He sent an email request to Behati through a mutual acquaintance. Although she did not end up starring in the video, their email exchanges continued, and they fell in love online before ever meeting in person. They married in 2014 and have since had three children. This was Adam’s first visit to Japan in two years, but it was the first time the entire family had traveled together.
During the opening night at Tokyo Dome, Adam wore a Los Angeles Dodgers jersey featuring Shohei Ohtani’s (30) name as he took the stage. While performing their hit song “Girls Like You,” he made his way toward his family in the audience, and their interaction was broadcast on the venue’s giant screen.
Returning to the scene outside the restaurant, the couple had apparently enjoyed a dinner with their staff, as their children were not present. Stepping out of the restaurant, they smiled warmly at the crowd of fans waiting for them. Moments later, as fans rushed to hand Adam gifts, one of them accidentally dropped their present. It was Behati who gently bent down to pick it up. Though a staff member ultimately retrieved it and handed it to Adam, Behati quietly stood behind him, attentively watching as he interacted with fans.
Even outside of their concerts, in a private setting, the original heartthrob and his supermodel wife demonstrated their kindness. Moments like these only make their fans love them even more. Japanese fans are already eagerly anticipating their next visit to Japan.
