Zagitova’s “fluffy photo with her beloved Masaru” impresses fans…!
Russia’s Alina Zagitova, who won the gold medal in the women’s figure skating at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, has become a topic of conversation after posting her latest fluffy photo with her too-cute dog Masaru on her Instagram account. This is the first time I’ve ever seen such a picture.
In the first photo, Zagitova is squatting next to Masaru, who is sitting down. Zagitova is wearing a warm black Puma jacket, black gloves, and fuzzy boots. She is wearing a knit cap on her head, making her completely cold-proof. Zagitova and Masaru are surrounded by a blanket of snow.
A real Russian winter, and with my Masaru” (from Zagitova’s Instagram)
The other photo shows a walk. In the other photo, we are taking a walk, and in the dimly lit street, Zagitova is staring at Masaru, who is on the end of a tight walking leash. Masaru’s collar is tucked into his neck, signaling “no, no, no”. It looks like Masaru has someplace to go and is being spoiled by his owner, Zagitova. This picture is moe…!
Masaru is a female Akita dog donated by the Akita Dog Preservation Society after Zagitova fell in love at first sight with an Akita dog during her stay in Japan before the Pyeongchang Olympics, where she won the gold medal. Her name means “victory. She is now three years old and will turn four next month.
She seems to be receiving Zagitova’s affection on a regular basis and often appears on Instagram. She has also been using the Stories feature to show some very cute photos of Masaru slogging through the snow. I’m sure there are many fans in Japan who wish they could be Masaru too. I hope he can relax now and show us how good he is on the ice again!
