Post Malone shows kindness to fans rushing to see him.

“Rockstar” boasts 1.2 billion streams

Wearing a ten-gallon hat, a scruffy beard, a checkered shirt, jeans, and leather boots, American popular singer Post Malone (29) is seen taking a commemorative photo with a woman in cowboy style.

“Post Malone began his career as a white rapper with his debut single ‘White Iverson’ in 2015. After being posted online, it quickly surpassed 1 million streams. His first album, ‘Stoney’ (2016), sold over 3 million copies and ranked 4th on the US charts. His single ‘Rockstar’ (2017) achieved his first No. 1 on the Billboard charts, and the music video for ‘Rockstar’ has now amassed 1.2 billion views.

Though he debuted as a white rapper, his broad range of genre-defying music and unique style have earned him enthusiastic support from young audiences, leading to his reputation as the modern rockstar. Alongside artists like Billie Eilish (23), he is undoubtedly one of the key figures in today’s American music scene.” (Music magazine editor)

This superstar was spotted in front of a luxury hotel in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. “He’s said to be visiting Japan incognito,” fans gathered in front of the hotel with this information. Post Malone emerged in the outfit mentioned above, accompanied by strong-looking men resembling bodyguards. When fans rushed over and asked for a photo together, he happily smiled and obliged.

Though Malone was friendly with the fans, his home is actually located in a luxurious neighborhood in Los Angeles (LA). The devastating LA wildfires on January 7th, described as the worst in California’s history, caused many local celebrities, including entrepreneur Paris Hilton (43) and actor Anthony Hopkins (87) of ‘The Silence of the Lambs,’ to lose their homes. Malone is also among the celebrities who own homes in the area. Although he moved to a new residence in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2019, he still owns a house in LA.

Evacuating from the Wildfires?

Given that he is staying in Tokyo, there has been speculation among fans that his visit, being private, might be due to him evacuating from the wildfires. One concerned fan asked, “Was your house burned in the wildfire?” to which he replied with a smile, “Safety, safety.”

At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards held on February 2nd (local time), his collaboration with Taylor Swift (35) on the song “Fortnight” was nominated in multiple categories. Although they didn’t win, Post Malone is expected to continue his remarkable achievements this year.
