Round Girl at Naoya Inoue’s Fight Discovered by Nobuyuki Sakuma Gains Major Attention
Interview with Ririka Moriwaki
She has been indecisive since she was little
On January 24, Ririka Moriwaki, who served as a round girl during the “Boxing Four-Title Unified World Super Bantamweight Championship,” caused a stir online with comments like “The round girl at Inoue Naoya’s fight was insanely cute” and “She’s so cute, amazing.” In the currently available issue of FRIDAY, she showcases a too pure gravure.
The FRIDAY February 7 issue, which includes Moriwaki’s gravure, can be found here!
Moriwaki first gained widespread fame after appearing on TV producer Nobuyuki Sakuma’s YouTube channel NOBROCK TV. She became a viral sensation after a prank where she cried during a surprise scenario titled “What if Kasuga from Audrey was cheap?” She was pranked multiple times afterward, solidifying her image as the too pure gravure idol.
However, many viewers have questioned, “Is she really that pure?” or “Doesn’t she know it’s a prank?” and “Isn’t she just acting?” To get to the bottom of it, we decided to ask Moriwaki directly during a gravure photo shoot.

ーSo, do you really not notice the pranks?
I get asked this by friends and many others, but honestly, during the filming, I don’t realize it’s a prank. My family, who knows my personality, was completely convinced I’d fall for it over and over (laughs). Since I was little, I’ve been indecisive and easily fooled, so they weren’t surprised.
ーThe first prank I appeared in was titled “Audrey Kasuga is incredibly cheap behind the scenes, but has secret feelings, and if he’s really that cheap?” After that, I was tricked by comedians like Kagaya, Suga-chan, and Ijiri Okada. This time, though, I thought I might notice it’s a prank.
Right? Looking back, I can see I could have figured it out. But since I hadn’t worked much with comedians before, the excitement of working with someone like [actor’s name] won out, and I forgot to be suspicious.
At first, I worked with Kasuga-san, and when I heard we were going to do street location shoots, I was so happy. I had never done a street location shoot before, and it was with Kasuga-san as my first! I was so nervous and thought I wouldn’t be able to talk, so I prepared by doing some simulations. I actually wanted to do the Kasuka Dance with him, but since it turned out to be a prank, I couldn’t. I hope we can do it the next time we meet.
“I don’t have the feeling of ‘I was tricked! Damn it!'”
ーAfter the filming, did you have any conversations with the comedians?
After filming, everyone was so kind and apologized, saying things like, “I’m really sorry.” I realized that the people on TV are also very responsible and thoughtful behind the scenes.
ーWhat kind of conversations do you have with Sakuma-san?
Sakuma-san always says something like “Thanks again today” when we’re leaving. I really like Sakuma-san’s laugh, and when I watch videos I’ve appeared in, I always replay the parts where Sakuma-san is laughing.
“The response to NOBROCK TV” has been amazing. When I first appeared in Kasuga-san’s episode, my notifications on social media wouldn’t stop going off, and I was really surprised. I think I’m where I am now because Sakuma-san found me, so I don’t feel like saying, “I was tricked! Damn it!” He always seems so busy, so we haven’t had a chance to talk slowly, but I’d like to have a talk with Sakuma-san someday.

ーWhat kind of work would you like to do in the future?
I’m still in the process of learning, but I’d love to appear in a lot of variety shows. The reason I started my entertainment career was to make my family happy. I want to appear on media that my family can watch, not just on social media. I want to become someone who’s on TV when you turn it on. As for pranks, I want to be the one setting them up more (laughs).
