When I visited a designated room in an apartment in a residential area, a woman who appeared to be a foreigner came out and invited me inside.

A New Type of Illegal Asian Esthetic Parlor is Proliferating

In recent years, the number of condominium-type illegal Asian esthetic salons has been increasing in the western part of Tokyo’s 23 wards. The fact that they offer “real sex” at a fairly low price has become a topic of conversation on the Internet.

The well-known Asian esthetic salons are usually located in downtown buildings with a signboard and mainly employ Chinese women. There are various types of esthetic salons, ranging from healthy salons that do not provide any sexual services to illegal salons that charge an extra fee for sexual services in the form of “options.

In the case of illegal stores, the fee is about 10,000 yen for 60 minutes, and in most cases, “hand services” are also provided. In rare cases, there are also stores that offer “real” sexual services, but the price is usually around 20,000 yen for 60 minutes. Most of the women enrolled are middle-aged and over 40 years old, and the prices are considered “rip-offs” by those other than a few enthusiasts. Of course, providing sexual services is illegal. Although the police have reported some of these places to the authorities based on Internet postings, they have quickly changed their names and reopened new ones.

This time, the author obtained information about an illegal Asian esthetic salon operating in a residential area on the west side of Tokyo’s 23 wards, and went undercover several times. The place was a 1K-type condominium that was built more than 20 years ago. Naturally, there were ordinary residents living there. The suburbs and old building age are conducive to the operation of this type of store, as rent is inexpensive. Also, compared to the city center, there are fewer people coming and going, so it is difficult to be discovered. It is often said that the number of vacant condominiums is increasing due to the aging and declining population, and there are probably cases where landlords are turning a blind eye to the illegality of renting out apartments.
