A 20-year-old beauty named &#8220;No Name,&#8221; who suddenly appeared on social media, is a popular influencer with 570,000 total followers and over 100 million views on TikTok. She made her gravure debut in FRIDAY magazine, released on November 29, 2024, which caused a huge stir on social media. A digital photo book released the same day has dominated the bestseller rankings in e-book stores, becoming a long-lasting hit.
We spoke with her about her feelings on her first gravure shoot and the meaning behind her impactful name.
<h3>First time showing her true unprocessed face</h3>
Q: Your first gravure has received an unprecedented reaction.
&#8220;I was really surprised when I heard about the rankings and the number of downloads for my digital photo book. I’m just so grateful that so many people have seen it. Thank you so much! I also received a huge number of congratulatory messages from my fans, many more than I imagined, and even my friends and acquaintances contacted me saying, &#8216;I bought it! You looked beautiful!&#8217; It made me realize just how much love I’ve received from so many people. I’ve read a lot of feedback so far, and the kind words about my body and face, things I had been insecure about, like &#8216;You’re cute!&#8217; and &#8216;You have a great figure!&#8217; really touched me. I was so happy to be accepted that I almost cried (laughs).&#8221;

Q: What kind of insecurities did you have?
&#8220;After three years of being active on social media, I had never worn clothes with a lot of exposure, so my biggest concern was that I might disappoint the people who have supported me up until now. On platforms like TikTok and Instagram, I usually wear heavy makeup and use filters to hide my insecurities. So, showing everyone photos like these gravure shots, which are more natural and close to my bare face, was really the first time. I was very nervous and had the fear that there might be negative comments, but in the end, I’m glad I took the challenge and expanded my comfort zone.&#8221;

Q: You were also nervous about the swimsuit shoot.
&#8220;It had been since elementary school swimming lessons that I wore a swimsuit, so at first, I was filled with nervousness and embarrassment&#8230; But the staff were so kind, and the shoot itself was fun, so little by little, I started to relax. I was able to express a variety of facial expressions and poses.&#8221;
Q: What was your favorite outfit?
&#8220;My favorite was the outfit combining a swimsuit and overalls! It really captured a sense of freshness and energy, and I loved it the most.&#8221;
<h3>The origin of your stage name is Soseki Natsume.</h3>
Q: I heard that many of your social media followers like your glasses look.
&#8220;When I danced to the song &#8216;Goodbye Declaration&#8217; on TikTok while wearing glasses, it went viral with 3 million views, so that impression might be strong. Actually, the glasses I&#8217;m wearing in this gravure shoot are kids&#8217; glasses. I bought them in fifth grade and have been wearing them for ten years, continuously adjusting the prescription. I have a hard time finding glasses that fit me perfectly.&#8221;
Q: Why do you go by the name &#8216;Namaehamadanai.&#8217;?
&#8220;When I started social media, I really loved cats and wanted a name related to them. I thought it might be cool to reference Natsume Sōseki’s &#8216;I Am a Cat,&#8217; which is how &#8216;Namaehamadanai.&#8217; came about. Since I had the opportunity to appear in FRIDAY, my manager and I discussed changing it because it’s a bit hard to understand, but in the end, we decided to keep it as it is, thinking it might be unique and memorable. Since it&#8217;s a bit difficult to say, my fans affectionately call me &#8216;Neko-san&#8217; (Cat-san).&#8221;
Q: What do you do besides being an influencer?
&#8220;I&#8217;m a university student, so I usually study. My major is quite demanding, so I attend classes diligently from first to fifth period on weekdays.&#8221;
Q: What do you want to challenge yourself with in the future?
&#8220;I&#8217;ve loved photography and models since I was little, often posing in front of the mirror and imitating them, so this shoot was a dream come true. I also admire acting and want to try it in the future. In particular, I&#8217;d love to challenge myself with a genre like Super Sentai, which is loved by people of all ages!&#8221;
