<p> On January 7, the Osaki Police Station of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department re-arrested Nozomu Takashima, 64, an unemployed former writer with no fixed address, on suspicion of fraud and theft. Takashima was also arrested last December on suspicion of abandoning a body in his apartment in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> The body is believed to be that of Ms. A, a woman in her 50s who lived with Takashima and was in a relationship with him; Ms. A died around August 2008 due to illness. Takashima had been living alone for nearly five years, leaving the body in his room.</span></p>
