Payment of 90 million yen in the name of settlement through an agent

The TV industry is in a flurry of activity regarding former SMAP member Masahiro Nakai.

The year before last, Nakai had a trouble with a woman, Xko, who was working for Fuji Television at the time, and paid 90 million yen as a settlement payment through his agent. The first report was in the December 19 issue of “Josei Seven,” followed by a detailed report in “Shukan Bunshun” on December 26.

The settlement payment of 90 million yen is extraordinary,” Bunshun reported. Bunshun specified that the content of the trouble was a sexual issue. Nakai has no objection to that so far. In today’s TV industry, which is sensitive to sexual assault, this means that he has ‘crossed the line'” (reporter in charge of entertainment for a sports newspaper).

As a result, Nakai’s regular programs have been “replaced” since the beginning of the year.

The January 10 broadcast of TBS’s “Nakai Masahiro no Friday no Smile Tachihe New Year’s SP” was replaced by the movie “I fell in love like a bouquet of flowers”; the January 11 broadcast of TV Asahi’s “Nakai Masahiro no Sato-na Kai” became a separate program; and the January 12 broadcast of “Dareka to Nakai” was also cancelled.

Nakai was not the only “epicenter” of the incident.

Fuji Television is also under scrutiny. According to Bunshun and other sources, Xko was summoned by her boss, Mr. A, to a drinking party where Nakai was attending. When she arrived on the scene, she found that Mr. A and the other participants were not present, and she was forced to have a one-on-one with Nakai.

After that, there was serious trouble between the two. Some people said to Xko, ‘If you don’t like it, why don’t you just go home,’ but there is no way a young station employee could do such a thing to Nakai-san, who is a natural.

A source at the TV station said, “There is no way a young station employee can do such a thing to the younger Nakai-san.

Because of this, Bunshun and the Internet are pointing out that Xko was “paid up. In response, Fuji posted the following statement on its website

The content of the article contains untruths, and the employee in question was not involved in any way with the dinner meeting mentioned in the article, including the setting of the meeting. He was not even aware of the existence of the meeting, nor was he suddenly absent on the day of the meeting.

Nakai denies everything.

Nakai’s “allegations” are not a matter of concern to other bureaus.
