A night in Ebisu spent with close friends.

It was a breakout year with both dramas and movies.

Actor Taiga Nakano (31) appeared in two TV dramas and six movies this year alone. Notably, in the morning TV drama “Tora ni Tsubasa” (NHK), he played the husband of the main character, Sairi Ito (30). Right after his character met an untimely death in the drama, there was an outpouring of Nakano Taiga loss posts on social media.

In July of this year, Taiga Nakano co-starred with Eiko Koike in the Fuji TV drama “Shinjuku Yasen Byouin,” written by Kankuro Kudo. Unlike his role in the morning drama, he portrayed a comically greedy plastic surgeon. His versatility in roles is among the best of his generation of actors.

He has also been actively involved in theater, staying true to his roots, and continues to hone his skills as an actor. In October, he starred in the stage play “Tōge no Wagaya.” Due to its popularity, the play will be broadcast on WOWOW starting next February. This year, it can be said that there wasn’t a day when his name wasn’t seen, due to his remarkable achievements. (Sports paper entertainment desk)

Despite his busy schedule, Nakano was recently spotted enjoying a rare “off” moment with friends. In early November, he was seen in Ebisu, Tokyo, accompanied by his close friend, actor Masaki Suda (31), and singer-songwriter Hyu Ishizaki (40), carrying a large guitar case. The three strolled around Ebisu without much disguise and eventually entered a modest Korean restaurant.

“Before entering, they were waiting outside with regular customers, which was surprising. Inside, they seemed to enjoy a casual meal of samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup),” said a customer who was there.

After enjoying about an hour of meals, they disbanded in front of Ebisu Station, each taking a taxi home.

“Nakano and Suda have been close since high school and are known for calling each other by their first names. Suda is also active as an artist, and Nakano has been responsible for shooting the album covers and artist photos for Suda’s first and second albums. He has also been friends with Ishizaki since their joint appearance in the 2016 film ‘Azumi Haruko wa Yukue Fumei,'” said a source from the entertainment industry.

Already announced as the lead for the 2026 Taiga drama “Toyotomi Brothers!”, Nakano is steadily rising toward becoming a national actor. By recharging with his friends, he will undoubtedly continue to create works that leave a lasting impact on many people’s hearts.

The three of them appeared in the streets of Shibuya at night. Initially, there were five people in total, including  a male and female acquaintance.
Afterward, the three of them went to Ebisu. They enjoyed Korean cuisine for about an hour and then left the restaurant, looking satisfied.
They continued chatting as they headed towards Ebisu Station.
The time spent with close friends must have been a refreshing break for them.
