This time I would like to write about my favorite friend.

My first Chinese female friend, Ryo-chan, I made at university.

Like me, she majored in “Japanese-Chinese translation” and is always smiling. I was attracted by the aura of a nice person that she exudes, and I wanted to be friends with her!　I had my sights set on her from the beginning.

I have always had a confident eye for people, and I am quite confident in my ability to find someone who would get along with me, an eccentric person, but I was not mistaken this time either.

I picked up on the idea of studying together. I picked up on the idea of studying with her, and we became friends in no time at all.

That talent was “Spadari-ryoku” (spadiness).

It may be appropriate to call it “Omotenashi Power,” but it has gone beyond that, so I will describe it here as “Spadari Power.

Spadari” stands for “Super Darling,” a man who is handsome, tall, financially strong, kind, patient, and …… anyway, the perfect marriage partner. Recently, Chinese men are kind!　I’ve seen a lot of buzz on social media about how Chinese men are kind, but I’ve seen firsthand that Chinese women are actually much more spadery than that.

When I was an announcer, I worked a lot of nights and often went to bed around 2 a.m., so I haven’t had to get up early and eat breakfast for a few years. …… But now my school starts classes at 8 a.m. I get up at 7 a.m. and get ready for school. I wake up at 7:00 a.m., get ready for school, and go to school. But even though my body wakes up, my stomach stays in bed, so I don’t eat breakfast.

Whenever I have a “date” with Ryo-chan, she always has the perfect plan and prepares my drinks in advance for the day. ……

It sounds like a man who is eager to seduce a beautiful woman, but this is how Ryo-chan treats his girlfriends. I can’t stop cooing.

I want to give something back!　I once dropped Ryo-chan off at the Chinese student dormitory, but even then, she would say, “It’s cold until Miyu-chan goes back to the dorm, so put on my coat.” …… Such are the days.

I tried to be competitive, bringing her lots of souvenirs from Japan, buying goods of characters she might like, and treating her to home-cooked meals, but I was no match for her. I am in awe of Ryo-chan’s spadery power.

Spadari” power that even my husband is impressed

Incidentally, my husband was also a spadari in Japan, much to the surprise of my friends.

Not only does he take me to and from work, but he also takes my friends home after playing with them. He always opens the car door for me and does the cleaning and laundry. Even now, after our marriage, he is still completely kind to me.

Her husband seems to feel threatened by Ryo-chan, saying, “A rival has appeared” (laugh).

My husband is half Japanese and half Chinese. He is a very, very grateful husband, but after meeting the strongest Spadari, Ryo-chan, in China, I am grateful for his kindness, of course, but I have come to realize the high level of Spadari power of Chinese people.

Of course, there are many ways of thinking and many ways of loving in both China and Japan, so I do not intend to speak in broad terms as if everyone is like this because they are Chinese or like this because they are Japanese. I do not intend to make a broad statement like “everyone is like this because they are Chinese” or “everyone is like this because they are Japanese.” The irreplaceable friends I have met in the scope of my life, strangely enough, all of them always have some Spadari power in them.

I would like to improve my spadariness while I am in China and be able to repay them all. And I am now very eager to have Ryo-chan come to Japan and give her the best hospitality.
