Yamapi Spotted Outside Bulgari’s Ginza Store Flashing a Relaxed Smile at Passersby
Appointed “Bulgari” ambassador in March ’21
At 3 p.m. in early November on Namiki-dori Avenue in Ginza (Chuo Ward), Tokyo, a street lined with the main stores of luxury boutiques. A mini wagon was parked in front of the “Bulgari Ginza Tower Store” located in one corner of the street. A man who appeared to be a Bulgari sales clerk was standing next to the wagon, and a handsome man sitting in the back seat was chatting amiably with him. The man was Tomohisa Yamashita (39).
After leaving Johnny’s in October 2008, Yamashita immediately participated in the filming of the Hollywood movie “Man from Toronto,” which will be released in 2010. In March 2009, he became the first Japanese male to be appointed as an ambassador for “Bulgari. He also participated in the Bulgari event held in Kyoto in July this year, together with Koyuki (47) and Hoshi Mori (32). It seems that he often visits the Bulgari restaurant on the 9th floor of the Ginza Tower store in private, and may have enjoyed lunch on this day as well” (editor of a fashion magazine).
Yamashita laughed and talked with the waiter for a while, but when he lightly bailed, the car started to drive away. Some passersby had already noticed Yamashita’s presence, and they involuntarily shouted, “Oh, it’s P. Yamashita! and he looked in their direction and responded with a smile.
It was recently announced that Yamashita will make a guest appearance (on December 7 only) at Tokyo Comic Con 2024, which will be held at Makuhari Messe (Makuhari City, Chiba Prefecture) for three days starting December 6.
Speaking of Yamashita, he is starring in “Drops of God/Drops of God,” a drama co-produced by the U.S., France, and Japan that began streaming on the video distribution service Hulu in September ’23. This popular series, which also announced production of Season 2 in May of this year, is a drama based on the manga “Shizuku of God. French actress Fleur Jeffrier, who co-starred in the drama, will also appear at Tokyo Comic-Con, and it will be a double signing event,” said an event official.
From December 6, a new commercial for the champagne Moët & Chandon, shot by Yamashita in the Champagne region of France, will be aired. We cannot take our eyes off Yamashita as he continues to expand his activities on the world stage.
