Who Is “Z Lee”? Updates Continue Despite Arrest—Tokuryu, Journalist, or Police?
More than 10 people broke into his house
Z Li,” a mysterious underground influencer, was arrested.
He has over 900,000 followers on X, and even if you don’t follow him, you may have seen his “recommended” and other buzz-worthy posts.
On November 14, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department arrested five men, including the man believed to be running the account, on suspicion of breaking and entering. The five arrested included Masaki Taki, 43, a company officer believed to be a core member; Takayu Sawaguchi, 38, a suspect whose occupation is unknown; and Koji Shukuwa, 33, an active fighter and “ANIMAL☆KOJI” who has participated in RIZIN and K-1.
Z Li’s identity is shrouded in mystery, and he has appeared on YouTube and other media several times, but without a face and only with a voice change. It is said to be run by several people, and the updates continued even after the arrest of Taki and the other suspects.
“In ’22, I found out the home of the criminal who stole the motorcycle and gave X a picture of more than 10 people breaking into the house. “Dear criminal. Please go home soon.” He also posted a video of them breaking into his home and “finding parts of the bike.” It appears that he stayed in the residence for more than an hour. Normally, one would think that he would be arrested for breaking and entering, but since the other party was also a thief, he may have been taking it easy on them.
Although “Z Li” sometimes creates a buzz with his videos and other revelations, it was thought that his main occupation was gambling betting on horse races and bicycle races, running soup kitchens, and operating shelter cat cafes. However, the police are said to be investigating Z Li as an “anonymous and fluid criminal group,” the so-called “Tokuryu.
Tokuryu is a criminal group that has become a social problem nowadays, repeatedly committing crimes using people they have gathered from social networking sites and job sites as executors. In particular, they use “Telegram” and “Signal,” communication apps that are highly confidential.
There were testimonies that hinted at this.
Three years ago, a YouTube channel called “KAI-YOU Videos” released a video titled “7 Testimonies about Z Li: The Identity of the Man Behind the Scenes in Shinjuku. There, the TV personality Hoshimirika, who is a close friend of his, said
She said, “I thought he was interesting and asked him if we could exchange lines on ……. He asked me if I had an app called Telegram or Cygnar …… something. She asked me if I had an app called Telegram or Signa something. I didn’t know about the app itself, so I went to …….”
He said, “I don’t know the app itself, so I went to .
There are a lot of Z Lee’s out there, aren’t there?”
It seems that he didn’t even want to use LINE, but was willing to exchange telegrams or signals. Was he extremely avoiding having his identity and conversation history revealed?
Furthermore, Takashi Tachibana of the NHK party talked about Z Li in August ’22 on the YouTube channel of Yuta Misaki, aka Prince Aojiru.
He prefaced his comments with the words, “I was told never to say this…”
He prefaced his comment with the following.
There are a lot of Z Li’s out there, right?”
Prince Aojiru, who had collaborated with Z Li once, said
He said, “It seems so. I have a theory about that.
Tachibana responded, “There is a theory that Z Li and I have collaborated together. Tachibana revealed that he and Z Li are DMs.
One of them is not from the Metropolitan Police Department, but from the National Police Agency. I’m sure of it.”
He claimed, “One of them is not from the Metropolitan Police Department, but from the National Police Agency.
As he says in another video, when he met Mr. Z Li for the first time, he was advised to be careful about Sei Tanaka, with whom Mr. Aoshiru Prince had been collaborating, saying, “He has an inside spy on me. He was warned, “You’re being watched closely. Three or four months later, Tanaka was arrested for drugs.
He also revealed that he was told to be careful about another person, whose name he did not want to mention, and that this person actually became a case after that. “I felt that Tachibana’s theory that there was a ‘police official’ inside was credible,” said a reporter from a sports newspaper.
However, since there are reporters in the mass media who also have inside connections to police, there is a possibility that some Z Li members really have police-related contacts, or that they are connected to weekly magazine reporters, etc., but it seems certain that Z Li is well-informed.
He was arrested for breaking and entering, but the police will also be investigating his phone and computer in the future, and we wonder what other dark secrets Z Li is harboring–and what other dark secrets he is harboring.
