Shiori Sato’s Busy Schedule: Sleepy Eyes Yet Her 8-Head-Tall Presence Stands Out

Aura of a model that cannot be hidden

In early November, in the evening, Shiori Sato (34) got off a location bus in front of Nippon Television. She looked a bit sleepy and tired.

“She had been active as a popular model, but her big breakthrough as a TV personality came in 2014 when she appeared on the popular segment ‘Asa Made Hashigo no Tabi’ of the show ‘1 Okunin no Daishitsumon!? Waratte Koreate!’ on Nippon Television. She even appeared on 250 shows in a year and a half (according to a ‘MORE’ article from August 26, 2023).

Currently, she’s still juggling numerous regular shows such as ‘Ariyoshi no Kabe’ (Nippon Television), ‘Ousama no Brunch’ (TBS), and ‘Hirunandesu!’ (Nippon Television), maintaining her incredibly busy lifestyle” (TV magazine writer).

That day, she had just appeared live on the Nippon Broadcasting show ‘Knights The Radio Show’. During the show, Nobuyuki Hanawa (46) of ‘Knights’ mentioned that Shiori didn’t seem to fit the image of a pedestrian or a driver. In response, Shiori jokingly replied,

“I drive. A pedestrian image? I admit, on shows like ‘Ariyoshi no Kabe,’ I’ve been playing the pedestrian role” (laughs).

For that day, her outfit consisted of a black fluffy mohair knit sweater, beige chinos, and white sneakers. Despite the simple outfit, her small face and long legs gave off an 8-head-tall, model-like presence. It felt less like a TV personality and more like someone exuding the aura of a model.

Though she looked sleepy when getting off the bus, she greeted the driver with a perfect smile and a bow. No matter how tough it gets, her charm and warmth are why she’s so well-loved by everyone.
