The wrap-up party for Hikaru Kimi e lasted over 13 hours!

Around 30 people, including lead Yoshitaka, Yusuke Emoto (37), who played Michinaga Fujiwara, and Ryuuji Akiyama (46), who played Mitsu Fujiwara, stayed until the very end, keeping the energy up,” said a source from the drama production.

In this drama, which portrays the life of Murasaki Shikibu, the author of “The Tale of Genji”, Yoshitaka’s portrayal of Shikibu and Emoto’s portrayal of Fujiwara no Michinaga forms the central love story, and the human relationships of Heian aristocrats are delicately depicted, earning praise from even women who aren’t familiar with historical dramas.

After completing the year-and-a-half-long shoot, Yoshitaka had changed her hair to bright brown, possibly a reflection of the intense work.

“It seems like she just wanted a fresh change, rather than preparing for the next job. Contrary to some reports, she is not planning a long vacation,” said an entertainment industry executive.
