Nanako Matsushima’s holiday…riding a mountain bike in the center of the city! She looks like a scene from a commercial.
Three times a week for muscle training, twice a week for Pilates
On a mid-November evening, a shopping street in the heart of the city is filled with students on their way home from school.
In front of a bicycle store in one corner of the shopping street, there was a tall, stylish woman.
Most of her face was hidden by a large black mask and hat, but the mole around her beautiful eyes was a distinctive feature: Nanako Matsushima, 51. She was hard at work inflating the tires of her mountain bike with an inflator placed in front of her store.
In ’23, she appeared in NHK’s historical drama “Douwa Ieyasu” for the first time in 21 years since “Toshiie to Matsumatsu” (Toshiie and Matsumatsu). So far this year, she has appeared in two one-off dramas, and she seems to be holding back on her drama and movie appearances. She has two daughters, but her husband Takashi Sorimachi (50) has taken a break from child rearing, as he has publicly stated that he is ‘studying abroad.
Sorimachi’s current starring drama “Okura: Labyrinthine Case Investigation” (Fuji TV) is doing well, and “Nikkan Gendai” (October 20, 2011) reported that there are talks of making it into a series and a movie. She may be concentrating on supporting her husband at the moment” (TV magazine writer).
Even so, she is known for going to the gym and practicing Pilates when she is off the job, and is always working on her fitness for her beauty and health. In an interview with “VOGUE 25 JAPAN” (March 26, 2012), she said, “I am a very active person.
<She says, “I have to face my body properly, pay attention to what I eat every day, and regulate my autonomic nervous system by exercising and working up a sweat. It may seem simple, but it is actually invaluable, and I hope that my two daughters will inherit this.
She goes to muscle training three times a week and Pilates twice a week.
Let’s go back to the beginning.
When he finished inflating the bike, Matsushima took off his hat to prevent it from being blown away by the wind and began pedaling his mountain bike.
The way she rode briskly toward the main street looked like a scene from a TV commercial.
