<p> By November 7, the Ikebukuro Police Station of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department arrested Yuzo Yamada, 55, an unemployed man living in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, on suspicion of indecent kidnapping and non-consensual sexual intercourse. He is said to have forcibly touched Ms. A, a junior high school girl, and committed other indecent acts. He denies some of the charges, saying, &#8220;I <span class="strongInContent">did not sexually assault her, although it is generally true.</span></p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> The alleged incident occurred after 3:00 p.m. on August 18 this year, when Ms. A was alone at JR Ikebukuro Station (Toshima Ward, Tokyo) and the suspect Yamada approached her and said, &#8220;I&#8217;m working as a model. I work as a model. You have a nice style. Can I take your picture? He said, &#8220;I&#8217;m a model.</span></p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> Yamada took pictures of Ms. A at several parks. He then took her to a nearby deserted park, where he sexually assaulted her by touching her on a bench. Yamada apparently rode his bicycle from his home in Saitama Prefecture to the crime scene, which was more than 20 km away. Security cameras caught him riding away from the crime scene on his bicycle,&#8221; said a reporter from a national newspaper.</span></p>

<p> As mentioned above, Yamada denied part of the crime. On the other hand, he made the following statement to the police.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> I wanted to take a picture of him naked, but he said he was afraid, so I decided not to. I was in agony, so I touched her body. I was interested in the legs and socks of junior high and high school girls. When I asked to have my picture taken for &#8216;fashion-related work,&#8217; about one in a hundred agreed.&#8221;</span></p>
<p> The photographer for this magazine photographed the suspect Yamada being sent to the police station on November 7, immediately after his arrest. Yamada has short hair and a thick chest plate, giving him a strong appearance. When he noticed the assembled press, he turned his sharp gaze on them.</p>
<p> Based on Yamada&#8217;s statement that &#8220;about one out of a hundred people responded,&#8221; the police believe there are other victims and are investigating additional crimes.</p>
