Daisuke Ikezaki / Born in 1978 in Hokkaido, Japan. Diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease at age 6, began playing wheelchair rugby at age 29, won a bronze medal at the Rio ’16 Paralympics, a bronze medal in Tokyo ’21, and a long-sought gold medal in Paris ’24. Won a gold medal in Paris in 2012!
