TBS announcers Natsuko Kondo and Rina Shinohara look very serious during the “Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon” broadcast!
A returnee and a young lady from Keio University, she is an analyst.
On October 20, just before 8:00 a.m., many runners were lined up at the starting line on the track at the National Stadium (Yoyogi, Tokyo). In front of them, slightly off the track, waiting with a microphone in one hand and a serious expression on her face, was TBS announcer Natsuko Kondo (28).
On that day, “Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon 2024” was held at the National Stadium, and Kondo was reporting on the course for the third year in a row.
Kondo, who joined TBS in 1919, is a returnee from Malaysia, where she lived until the age of five, and is a genuine young lady who went to Keio Kindergarten and Keio University Faculty of Law. During her college years, she was active as a model for “JJ” magazine, and her fashion sense is reputed to be outstanding even among TBS female announcers. In March of this year, she was ranked first in a ranking of the most fashionable female announcers at TBS by Netorabo, a TV magazine writer.
On October 12, she announced her marriage to a man she went to college with. One week has passed since the happy news. Anna Kondo looked radiant as she stood on the spot.
Miss University of Tokyo, a talented female announcer
Just an hour earlier, Rina Shinohara, 27, another TBS announcer, was standing nervously on the street in front of the National Stadium. She was dressed in oversized winter clothes and appeared to be having a meeting next to a large motorcycle.
She is a talented woman who graduated from the University of Tokyo and joined the company in ’19, the same year as Kondo Anna.’ After joining TBS, she has been active as a student talent, working as an on-the-spot reporter and live coverage on “Sunday Japon,” “THE TIME'” and other programs. After joining TBS, she has shown her presence as an on-the-spot reporter and broadcaster for “Sunday Japon” and “THE TIME'” (writer).
Shinohara has reported on soccer and ekiden relay races, but this was her first time reporting on a motorcycle. Her facial expression was a little hardened as she was reporting alongside the runners. There was no doubt that the two added a touch of color to the event, which was held under the refreshing autumn sun.
