<p> When I got off the Shinkansen at around 2:00 p.m. in mid-October, I was surrounded by fans waiting for me to come out and sign their autographs.<i><span lang="en"> Journey</span></i> Jonathan Kane (74), a member of the American rock band Journey. The band was in Japan for the &#8220;Journey Freedom Tour Japan 2024,&#8221; a Japan leg of their world tour commemorating their 50th anniversary.</p>

<p><span class="strongInContent"> Journey was formed in 1973 as a five-piece band representing American progressive hard rock, and in 1980, Kane joined the band as a keyboardist. The album &#8220;Escape&#8221; was the first to reach No. 1 in the U.S. in 1981. Kane was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Journey in 2005.</span></p>

<p> Kane was not reluctant to sign autographs for fans, and even smiled as he walked away. However, behind the smiles, the band has been hit by a family feud over the past few years, with members engaging in legal battles with each other.</p>

<h3>The Content of Sean and Kane&#8217;s Major Argument</h3>
<p> In &#8217;20, core members Neal Schon (70) and Kane declared that two of the remaining three members were permanently banned from the band for attempting to violate royalties. The members objected to this and filed a countersuit against Sean and Kane. The case was settled when the members left the band, but in &#8217;22, the relationship between Sean and Kane deteriorated. They are suing each other.</p>

<p><span class="strongInContent"> Kane sued, claiming that the band had become dysfunctional because of Sean&#8217;s profligate spending. They settled once, but sued again in August of this year for the same reason. As a result, the band has been in ongoing trouble, with production costs not being paid and some staff members quitting. But they are still touring together, so I can only say that the mentality of the two is amazing.</span></p>

<p> The two are still in disagreement. During the Japan tour this time, Kane got off the Shinkansen at Tokyo Station, while Sean got off at Shinagawa Station. They are taking their own separate actions. Despite this, the Japan tour was a great success, but according to audience members, they did not see any scenes of mutual interaction on stage during the performance. The band is known for its pro-Japanese character, so we look forward to their next performance.</p>

 Jonathan Caine of the American rock band Journey was spotted at Shinagawa Station. He was in a good mood, smiling at his fans, but he is currently in a dispute with Neal Schon, a member of the band. We are grateful to them for still daring to tour in Japan.
