Director Hideo Sakaki’s Abnormal Sexual Preferences and Self-Indulgent Claims Uncovered in Court
“Then take off your pants.”
The trial of film director Hideo Sakaki (54), who is facing charges of quasi-rape for allegedly committing lewd acts against a 20-something actress referred to as A, was held on October 16 at the Tokyo District Court, presided over by Judge Kenji An’ei. During the proceedings, Sakaki’s abnormal sexual preferences were revealed.
Sakaki is accused of sexually assaulting actress B on the night of March 19, 2015, in a condominium room, under the guise of providing acting guidance. In July 2016, he invited actress C to dinner and allegedly instructed her,
“If you’re ready to become an actor, you can do anything. So take off your pants.”
He allegedly instructed her and then invited her to a hotel, where they engaged in sexual acts. This day was dedicated to the retrial regarding A, who was victimized in 2016.
Sakaki entered the courtroom quickly, wearing a gray suit, a mask, and sandals with ankle socks, displaying a stern expression. However, once seated, he closed his eyes and looked down.
According to the indictment, in July and September of 2016, in a room in a Tokyo apartment, using his position as a film director, Defendant Sakaki had sexual intercourse with Ms. A. It is said that Sakaki, as a director, held a position overseeing the film. Ms. A feared that if she did not comply in a physical relationship.
“She thought she might not be given a role and felt she couldn’t resist.”
Claiming she was in a state of incapacity to resist (a condition in which physical or psychological resistance is extremely difficult). Regarding the charges, Defendant Sakaki denied the allegations,
“I admit there was a relationship between us, but I did not use my position.”
He denied.
“Whose flesh slave are you?”
However, from the statement read by the prosecution, Defendant Sakaki’s abnormal sexual preferences became apparent. According to his statement:
“Say, ‘The director’s penis feels good.'”
“Whose flesh slave are you?”
Defendant Sakaki reportedly subjected Ms. A to these types of words during the acts.
“It seems Defendant Sakaki humiliated Ms. A with degrading words and got excited by making her say obscene things. Among these were statements such as, ‘Can you strip in my film? Excite me, the director,’ and ‘Take the lead role in a pink film,’ emphasizing the director-actress dynamic. He also had her say obscene words, engaged in intercourse without contraception,” said a judicial correspondent for a national newspaper.
Regarding these words, Defendant Sakaki admitted in court, saying,
“Shamefully, we did have a relationship. I might have said those things,”
while also insisting,
“I did not take advantage of her incapacity to resist.”
He emphasized that it was simply a relationship between a man and a woman. However, since an SD card recording these actions was seized, he likely had no choice but to admit to these statements. According to his statement, during prior questioning by the prosecution, he also confessed:
“I feel excited filming with a camera. It might be a trait of being a film director. I feel a sense of guilt in the forbidden relationship between director and actress. I get excited by treating actresses roughly.”
Until the end, he presented his claims in a state of self-absorption. At the conclusion of the hearing, Defendant Sakaki bowed to the judge, prosecutor, and gallery before leaving the courtroom. Even this act seemed like a performance.
