Why Yuji Oda Is Missing from the New Odoru Daisousasen Despite His Return for the World Athletics Championships
Oda Returns to “World Championships in Athletics” to Cope with “Oda Loss”!
It has been announced that actor Yuji Oda (56) will become the ambassador for the World Championships in Athletics to be held at the National Stadium in Tokyo next September.
Oda has been the anchor of the World Championships in Athletics for 13 consecutive years since 1997 in Athens, Greece, and her song “All my treasures” has been used as the theme song since 2007, and has become an established part of the program.
Oda had been away from the anchor since the Eugene, OR, convention in 2010, but returned to the anchor chair after only three years.
Oda-san is known for his many famous songs at the World Championships in Athletics, such as “I’m so glad I was born on earth! He had a strong presence at the World Championships in Athletics, leaving behind many wise words such as, “I’m glad I was born on earth! It was said that the reason he “graduated” after the 2010 event was due to cost cutting. However, the Budapest 2011 tournament in Hungary, which was broadcast without Mr. Oda, was hardly talked about, and viewers were reported to have a “loss of Oda. Next year’s event will be held in Tokyo, so TBS decided to bring Oda back to the event in order to boost the event by all means,” said a reporter in charge of broadcasting.
However, although Mr. Oda returned to the World Championships in Athletics, he was unable to return to his most famous work.
What is the “reason” Oda is not in the movie?
On October 11, the first part of the two-part movie series, “Muroi Shinji: The Undefeated,” a new installment in the “Bayside Shakedown” series, was released, and on November 15, the second part, “Muroi Shinji: The One Who Lives On” is scheduled for release. The main character is the popular character played by Yanagiba Toshiro (63), Shinji Muroi.
The drama series began airing on Fuji Television in 1997, and the film version was also a huge hit. The film version is the first since “Odoru Daisousasen The Final: A New Hope” released in 2012, but Oda’s name is not in it, even as a supporting character. Why in the world?
Oda and Yanagiba had a heated battle on set during the filming of the drama version, and Yanagiba asked to leave the cast, saying, “Let me die in the line of duty! There was a time when there were whispers of a “disagreement theory” that Mr. Oda and Mr. Yanagiba had quarreled on set during the filming of the drama version, and Mr. Yanagiba asked to be let go. However, the two actors have worked together on four subsequent feature films, and it is believed that they have strengthened their bond.
To promote the film, director Katsuyuki Motohiro, screenwriter Ryoichi Kimizuka, and producer Chihiro Kameyama held a live commentary on the film’s official X website on September 28. During the commentary, Kameyama revealed that he had already informed Oda that he would be playing the role of “Shinji Muroi,” even before Yanagiba-san had given the OK for the role. I don’t think he has completely distanced himself from the “Odoru – Project. There is no word that Mr. Oda has turned down the sequel,” said an entertainment reporter.
Fans are pinning their hopes on Oda’s starring or appearing in the next film on social networking sites, etc. – a source at Toho confides, “Oda-san is playing the role of Detective Waku.
A Toho official confided, “Mr. Oda was fascinated by the late Chosuke Ikariya, who played the role of Detective Waku. At the opening day greeting for the second theatrical version of the film in 2003, which became the biggest hit, he cried while hugging Ikariya-san, who was fighting a battle with illness. The following year, however, Ikariya-san passed away. For Mr. Oda, Ikariya-san’s presence was a great motivation to play the leading role. Although a theater version was produced after that, his passion for the work was gradually lost. In Mr. Oda’s mind, it may be that he has already “graduated” from “Odoru.
Fans are waiting equally eagerly for Oda in the World Championships and in the “Odoru” series.
