Motoki Omori of “Mrs. GREEN APPLE” Spotted Smiling Brightly After June Music Video Incident
On a mid-September evening, Ohmori Motoki (28), the vocalist and guitarist of “Mrs. GREEN APPLE,” was walking through the arrival lobby at Haneda Airport.
Just the day before, Ohmori, along with band members Hiroto Wakai (27) and Ryoka Fujisawa (31), had participated in New York’s Fashion Week. They were invited as special guests for the “2025 Spring Collection” of the fashion brand “Tommy Hilfiger,” where Ohmori has been appointed as a Japan ambassador.
First visit to NY as Japan Ambassador
In a video aired on September 18 by “Nippon Television News,” Ohmori Motoki engaged in a discussion with designer Tommy Hilfiger. When asked about places he wanted to visit in New York, Ohmori replied:
“This is our first time in New York, so we’re excited about going anywhere. I think Tommy’s looks can adapt to the everyday life of New York, so I feel like they’ll complement various places.”
True to his words, the three of them seemed to fully enjoy their time in New York. Ohmori was seen walking with staff who were pushing a cart loaded with numerous bags, responding with smiles to fans waiting at the airport.
“Speaking of Mrs. GREEN APPLE, there was an incident in June when the music video for their new song ‘Columbus,’ released that month, was criticized for having ‘discriminatory content’ and was subsequently taken down. Japan Coca-Cola, which had been promoting the song as part of the ‘Coke STUDIO’ campaign, expressed regret and announced the suspension of advertisements featuring the song. Ohmori apologized on the official website, stating that there was no intention to endorse discriminatory content or a tragic history” (music magazine editor).
