Ken Miyake, returning to Tokyo from his solo concert in Sendai, showed no signs of fatigue.

On the night of August 31, the final day of summer vacation, as Typhoon No. 10 approached the Kanto region once again, Ken Miyake (45) appeared at the ticket gate of the Tokyo Station Shinkansen.

A long-awaited solo tour

On June 22 and 23, Miyake held his first solo live tour, “2024 Live Performance The otherside: Another me Presented by KEN MIYAKE,” after transferring to ‘TOBE.’ Furthermore, starting on August 18, he launched “2024 Live Performance Another me: The otherside Presented by KEN MIYAKE.” That day, after finishing his performance in Sendai, he returned to Tokyo on the last Shinkansen of the night.

“Ken Miyake left Johnny’s Office in May last year and, after transferring to TOBE, expressed his desire to ‘perform live as soon as possible.’ On June 22 and 23, he held his long-awaited solo concert at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena. During the performance on the 23rd, he told the fans who filled the venue, ‘I love you all, whether I’m awake or asleep,’ which brought the crowd to a frenzy. He also announced additional performances, which were met with cheers.

Starting with the Hokkaido performance in August, the tour is scheduled to visit six locations nationwide, running until October. During the opening MC of the Sendai concert, he made the audience laugh with the joke, ‘Yes, I am Miyagi Prefecture (Ken Miyake),’” said a music magazine editor.

As Miyake exited the ticket gate in Sendai with his staff, he briefly greeted a few female fans who appeared to have been eagerly waiting for his return to Tokyo. Without showing any sign of fatigue, he briskly walked through the station and disappeared.

“V6 era was fun”

“It seems that before the solo tour, he often shared with those around him that the V6 era was fun. However, during this live tour, he really shone and proved that he can stand on his own. While he was treated like the younger brother among the V6 members, at TOBE, he is the oldest ‘big brother.’ He will likely continue to lead the younger members,” said the aforementioned editor.

There’s a chance that a new unit centered around Miyake might be born within TOBE.
