Yuki Uchida and Takashi Kashiwabara Showcase Teamwork as Fans Flock with Enthusiastic Cheers and On-Site Photos
Yuki Uchida was in good spirits after appearing on Sandwich Man’s show.
On this day, Uchida made a live appearance on “Sandwich Man The Radio Show Saturday.”
“Uchida previously appeared alongside the duo on their regular program ‘Kaere Monday Mikke Tai!!’ in 2021 and has openly declared herself a big fan, even attending their solo live shows. During the program, she referred to Date as ‘Date-chan’ and Tomizawa as ‘Tommy,’ showcasing her love for them,” noted a TV magazine writer.
Clearly enjoying her time with Sandwich Man, Uchida emerged with a smile, chatting happily with the staff surrounding her. As soon as she appeared, fans rushed toward the shutter. At that moment, a man, presumably her manager, quickly approached the fans to accept items for signatures through the shutter. This man was actually her long-time partner, former actor Takashi Kashiwabara (47).
“Since their relationship started in ’09, their affectionate appearances have been reported in the media many times. After appearing in the 2014 film ‘The Happiness Plan,’ Kashiwabara retired from the entertainment industry, and in ’20, ‘Joshi Jishin’ (August 11, 2020 issue) reported that Kashiwabara was dedicating himself to managing Uchida’s career.
In October ’22, during her appearance on ‘A-STUDIO+’ (TBS), Uchida acknowledged that Kashiwabara was acting as her manager, although she didn’t mention his name, stating, ‘After all, the one who truly knows the core of who I am is my partner. In essence, they are family,’” said a sports newspaper reporter.
The two are perfectly in sync both personally and professionally.
Let’s return to the beginning of the story. After receiving the items for signatures, Kashiwabara moved to a spot out of the fans’ sight. A little while later, the shutter opened, and Kashiwabara appeared with the signed items for the fans, smiling as he handed them out. Meanwhile, Uchida re-emerged, waving to fans as she got into the waiting car. As expected from someone who calls him “family,” their teamwork truly felt like a classic example of “husband and wife harmony.” Moreover, Uchida’s exceptional response didn’t end there.
As the waiting car, driven by Kashiwabara, began to move, the back window opened, and Uchida poked her head out to wave at the fans. The fans were so thrilled that they erupted in cheers.
The two are perfectly in sync both personally and professionally. What kind of charm will they bring to their fans next?
